That happened to me before. But, I was using a Kindle app then on my phone, I have to de-register the device on the settings and reregister it.

Nope, i just scrolled throught it and it's fine. Have you tried to re start your kindle or ipad/tablet?
The only problems i had with kindle app were occasional freezes ...

Have you tried going to the settings of your Kindle and clicking deregister device? then after that register it again. It's like restarting the whole device. But, whatever books you have on that device you might have to deliver it to your device again. That's what they told me before when it happened to me, and it worked though. Just cumbersome.
