Dawn Figured I'd ask a question or two before the live video chat. :)

I would like to know if Mitch still gets nervous before he releases a new book? And if so, is it an excited nervousness or more anxious/scared?

I also had the good luck of winning his new novel in a goodreads giveaway. There were surprisingly a lot of characters to keep track of in this novel than I have read from Mitch in the past. Was it more difficult to write from so many characters point of views?

Thank you.

message 15: by Sarah (new)

Sarah q Hi Sir Albom, When are you gonna have a book signing here in the Philippines?

message 16: by Sandra (new)

Sandra Q I have to rate Tuesdays with Morrie as one of the best books I have ever read. I'd read it once, but then when I got married my husband and I read it together. He gave me a toy bear for our 6 mth anniversary and I named him Morrie, due to the significance of your book. I also loved Five People You Meet In Heaven. We started to read For One More Day, but unfortunately it hit a little too close to home for my husband - I will read it on my own sometime. Thanks for all the effort you put into your books. I love them.

Satthiya Kandi When will you be coming over to Malaysia for book signing? I am a big fan of Tuesdays with Morrie and For One More Day. Thank you for the lovely work, and please know that you have touched us personally with your brilliant writing.

message 21: by Lori (new) - rated it 4 stars

Lori Johnstone qHi Mitch! I have been reading your books since Morrie and I absolutely adore each one. I am writing my first novel, a paranormal fiction, and it took me a very long time to come up with the storyline. I am wondering, after so many books, are you still as inspired to write a new one as you were with your first book? Has the process become easier or more difficult?

message 22: by Yara (new)

Yara Hussein q There is sth common in all your books which is talking about death ...What the message that you want to convey bu writing about death

message 25: by Ronali (new)

Ronali Dela Cruz Ronali Dela Cruz: q Religion, faith, and spirituality, especially in our post-modern world, are often regarded as "not for intellectuals" and "self-made men." When you started writing, have you ever felt anxious that your readers might box you in as an author who's "too simplistic" or holds a Pollyanna attitude towards life?

message 26: by Gissell (new)

Gissell Del Castillo Hey mitch, I actually have two questions for you. 1) Where do you get your inspiration. And, 2) How do you write on days when you don't really want too. Or in other words, how do you combat writers block?

Your books are all inspiring, especially The Time Keeper, For One More Day and Tuesdays with Morrie. Looking forward to meeting you in Malaysia if there is in the future. I have 2 questions that would like your enlightenment, 1) What first inspires you to write? 2) What are the challenges do you face when you write and how do you overcome them? I have ideas on stories but I have no idea on how to start. Would appreciate if you could share. Thank you.

message 38: by Janica (new)

Janica Garcia Hello Mitch, thank you for writing such heartfelt and thought-provoking books. Here's my question: "qSince your books generally tackle about God and spirituality, I just want to know if you are all what you desire to be for God? If yes, can you share to us how you did it? If not, what are you doing about it?" Thank you and looking forward to your new book. :))

message 41: by Cham (new)

Cham q. What is your inspiration in writng The First Phone Call from Heaven? thanks! God bless :)

message 42: by Lydia (new)

Lydia Zamain q. Hello everyone and thank you for the invitation! I just want to say a big thank you to Mr Mitch Albom for the amazing books that you have written. The last book that I read, 'The Timekeeper' really have a huge impact on me and made me realise to appreciate time and people around me. I feel that the way you convey the messages in the book transcend different nationalities, religions and age. My question now is, who inspired you to write these amazing books and do you put your personal experience to your writing? Can't wait to read your latest book!

Christian q Hey, Mitch! Love your works. I know your background was in sports journalism in the city of Detroit, but I was curious. Your stories have an element of the afterlife in them... almost a hope that there is more to our journey that the one we spend in our bodies. I was curious, at what point did you decide to follow this path of including the afterlife in your works? Was there a moment in your life that was an awakening, for lack of words, where you became aware of what may come after and you wanted to tell stories based on that idea, or do you just believe that make for great stories? Thanks :]

message 44: by Rociocastillo (new)

Rociocastillo Q Dear Mitch, nearly all your books hve the subject of the afterlife in them. Are you a believer on the fact that there might be something else in this life or do you just write because it makes a great plot. Much love from a big fan :)

message 45: by Christine (new)

Christine Q. I would like to know which one of his books is next going to be made into a film? I really enjoyed, "The Five People You Meet in Heaven." I like his books because they are comfortable, intelligent, warm, humanistic and thought-provoking! Thank You! :)

message 46: by Rana (new)

Rana What’s most inspires Mitch album and what motivate him to write??

message 47: by [deleted user] (new)

Q Dear Mr Albom. I have been a fan since our English teacher made us read "Tuesdays with Morrie" when I was in fifth grade and I really think that it is very good! I've been in love with your work since then. I' was awed by the plots you used and it is very effective as everyone see. When I first saw the time keeper in the bookstore I had to quickly grab it and buy a copy. Now you have another work. My question is, is there any difference of this new book to the other books you have written? and I am sure that everyone will be touched by this new book, what will be the edge of this "The First Phone Call from Heaven" apart from your other books? I wish to see you tomorrow bc I am really excited for this one, though I do not know if I would be able to bc of too much time difference. Anyhow... KUDOS!! and keep doing what you're doing! You're a real inspiration to aspiring writers just like me!! :D

Benice Andrea q I want to know what Mitch Albom's inspiration in including Philippines in his book The Five People you meet in Heaven was. Did he spent some time on the country before?
