Christine | 17 comments Aw shucks! This series would have been so fantastic to see on the big screen! I LOVED it so much! One of my all time favorite versions of Frankenstein! I wonder who would have been chosen to play in each of the roles! I love reading books and then seeing them come to life on screen! I read so many books aloud to my children and then we would watch the movie! I am happy to report that my girls are all avid readers now as well as adults! Passing on this love to their kids also! Reading aloud is how I also stay connected to my grandson who lives in Kansas while I reside in WA!

Susan Beamon (susanbeamon) | 71 comments I remember a "made for TV movie" based on the first book of the Frankenstein series. Saw it before I read the book. I thought the movie was good, but it did focus on the detective team instead of either Victor or the Monster, so I doubt it would have lasted. TV likes to run the same heroes through a series and the books didn't do that.
