Well nice job Jess! 32K I am on track according to NaNo (the 1667 count per day) but I have things coming up that are going to prevent me from writing, and there fore am behind on my own count.

About 3,000 words left until i reach that 50,000 month word target! (I am early this year. Last year i completed NaNo 50,000 word count challenge only a couple of days early).
just reached 50,009 words on Tuesday 19th November...so i am about 11 days/ just over a week early! Phew!
More writing to go as my novel is only 1/2 (or just under) done!
Jessica wrote: "Woohoo! Go Lucinda! You completed NaNoWriMo!!"For me, its not about just completing NaNo (although it does help to spur one on and keep focused on writing every day). It is about carrying on writing my first novel and getting all the ideas down onto paper, at least initially as a first draft. The only way i am ever going to get something published is to write it first!! My plot is so detailed and lengthy that i feel adamant that it will take more than doing NaNo for 2 years in a row to write it. I have however made a start and that is an encouraging thought...
:)
Making a start is ALWAYS an encouraging thought! Way to go, girl!In other news, I have to hit 38K today. Getting closer and closer to 50K. Woohoo!
I must keep writing. I've hit 27,421 with 5,912 words to go until I'm on-par. Motivation and energy, come my way!!!
Sooo, I'm at 39k...feeling a little measly next to you people...and my novel is so not going to be finished in another 10k (i'm not even at the half way point...).
I am officially over the par! Wooot! Thanks Jessica! I'm only on Chapter 3 out of 7 with my novel, with plateloads of editing to do in December. Although I'm a little sad NaNo is coming to an end. :(
NaNo never really ends if you continue after November writing your novel. A little each day goes a long way! x
That's true, Lucinda. :) And I have a lot of writing to do on this novel, as well as four other projects I need to finish/get started on.
I have no idea how long (or how many NaNo's (this is my 2nd)) it will take to finish writing the first draft of my novel. Then i still have to re-read what is on paper and edit, which is another lengthy process that could take equally as much time. It all depends on how much i write ~ so if i can continue to write a bit each day and how many words i write each day.
NaNo is all about consistancy and putting the words onto paper. The one basic fact in differentiating between talking about writing a novel and actually writing one!
Great work everyone. I'm glad everyone is meeting their targets before time. And for all those who're still behind, there's still time. I've had a couple of people who manages to complete 50k words within a weeks time. And so can all those who might feel they are behind. Believe and you'll make it through.I hadn't written for the past 2 days. And still accomplished my daily target. Reached above 44k words today. Hopefully, there won't be any more setbacks for me.

Jessica - Yes, I'm going with a bare minimum of 2k words a day. Am finding it comfortable to write 3k if I get time as well.
You go girl! I realized a couple days ago that I am nearly at the halfway point in my novel at 40k so I have lots of work to do :)
At 42,606 trying to reach 45,000 or 50k today, either way I will be validating tomorrow. And then the writing process continues, and after that the editing comes.
48,063 words done so far! I'm going to be hitting 50K tomorrow, and then I'll officially be DONE with NaNoWriMo!!
I have done pretty well in my word count for today. :) If I have time then I will be going back to make sure I make up for all the time I'll be losing by skiing over Thanksgiving break. :) Great news, I've made a breakthrough! One thing I've been struggling with for pretty much the whole month was emotion. My novel is emotional and bangs you in the face: divorce, custody, friends with depression & self-harm issues, the beginning stages of dating, the whole thing. And for most of NaNo, I've been struggling with not being able to convey how upset the character was. So, on a burst of inspiration, I went back and read some poetry I wrote a while back and it sparked some emotion in me. I don't even know what. So I made my character toss and turn in bed at night (like I often do) and think. Just think for a good fifteen minutes, and I found out the most amazing things about her. It's great! I'm taking the advice I've found in various places and just started writing: big scenes, memories, text messages, daydreams, whatever! And it's really helping! Since I'm doing YWP, my goal is actually a bit under 50,000, and I'm beginning to think that I might surpass it! That is, if I get off of GR soon. :) I need to pack for my ski trip, and I have two essays to write soon, one over Thanksgiving break, but I can do that on the plane and work on the novel while my dad's sleeping, otherwise he'll want to read it and it's un-edited. :) I'm feeling inspired and wishing my bedtime was later so that I could write more. :)
I'm going to be at 45,000 words before I finish tonight, thank goodness! Hopefully I can hit 50,000 words before Thanksgiving.
Congratulations. It is no small thing to take on a project like this and see it through to a successful completion. Good for you!
I see some of you finished ! Congrats! (and right before thanksgiving, if any of you celebrate that)
Thanks Amanda :) {Its actually a good thing i finished when i did, as yesterday i was really sick i was unable to write anything at all. The only day out of this Month that i actually haven't been able to write a thing - and i feel terrible about it!}
Jayda wrote: "50,105 words!!!"Absolutely congratulations! You did it! Now put it away and take a well-deserved break.
Irene wrote: "Congrats Jayda! I am now standing with you in the 50k circle :)Speaking of I am 50k now!"
Congratulations to another who made it over the finish line!
On the 27th, I made it to 50,010 and that is where my word count still remains. I'm still astonished that I finished in a mere 19 days, eight days late, three days early. Although I'm jumping right back into the fire; Teca, Carolyn and Lucius miss me.

I was working FT and Its all a blur now and I got NO sleep.
Sickness tried its best to come my way as well, but thankfully I overcame it. The entire month is a blur for me as well, I wrote for about 14 out of the 19 days. Still I have no inkling how I managed to write so much. Next NaNo I will be prepared and my goal will be 70k.
