ABANDONED. Doomsday book with character named "Sunday"

Posting to help a friend find a book she read - this is what she said:
"Ok so maybe someone will remember it, older woman her kids R grown her and her husband move out to the country, EMP happens they spend the next two days trying to can all the freezer stuff, she is a prepper so she is stocked up. They wait til her son and his wife arrive take in a few more people. She has chickens. She poisons a bad guy with rancid food in a jar??? The female character name was "Sunday" which I hated! cuz my mind kept thinking days of week not a name."

She read the book about three years ago. It is Fiction. That is all I know.

As far as I can tell, EMP is nuclear war.

An EMP is a bomb that takes out all electronics and electrical devices. Cell phones, cars, computers, anything with a circuit board would not function any longer.

Here are some books shelved as EMP. I looked at the descriptions and none of them mentioned Sunday but you never know.

One Second After is a good book, but I've just flicked through my copy and I couldn't see anyone called Sunday.
