Let it begin

Amber Stecher | 3 comments How can Racath identify people with scent? Unless it was clarified in the book and I missed it...? I'm seriously curious.

It's not directly addressed. It's a little piece of me that I slipped into the book. I have Sensory Integration Disorder, so a lot of my senses are amplified and cross-wired. As a result, I can detect and identify the specific smells that belong to different people. Everyone smells different, so it's easy to differentiate between scents

Amber Stecher | 3 comments That is super cool. But it also adds an advantage to Racath's side I should think..? Because of this, would he have the ability to know when certain people are near him, or for example: Someone uses an illusion to trick him into thinking the are Nelle, would he be able to pick up on the fact that it isn't her simply because she doesn't smell like raspberries and lime?

Indeed. That may or may not become relevant in later books... :)

Amber Stecher | 3 comments I should hope so! You can't hint at a fantastic ability like that and then NOT expand more on it. Especially if it has a deeper meaning. ;)
