Heather | 4 comments This is vague. I'm pretty sure it's an 80s book; middle grade or YA. A girl and her father move to a haunted house in the middle of nowhere. There's a pond, and she learns to swim all by herself while her father works or writes a book or something. At the pond she meets a ghost kid. She eventually finds a secret room that was the ghost's. There's also some evil stuff going down. That's all I can remember! I just remember being TERRIFIED. I'd love to find it again.

Heather | 4 comments I think it was a late-80s book. I don't remember how the ghost became a ghost. I think it was a little boy.

Dawn (Kat N Hat) (katnhat) | 13 comments I just came across this while looking for another book, I read it late 80's. It sounds about right except she is visiting her uncle for the summer. Christina's Ghost by Betty Ren Wright Christina's Ghost
