worst book you have ever read that's popular?
and divergent series. I liked the first one but the next two weren't as interesting Insurgent Allegiant
Shatter Me, The Fault in Our Stars, The Young Elites (can't stress how much I HATED this book), Miss. Peregrin's Home, Divergent, and I didn't love the Hunger Games because the last book was so anti-climatic for me.
Idk why but I just felt like this book was pretentious, or maybe I just didn't understand it and everyone else did. I might need to reread it if the latter is the case.
I think we should take the "worst book you have ever read that's popular" and say what we would do if we had to rewrite it!For me, any book that has live triangle/squares/round/hexagons needs to be rewritten where everyone dies because the heroine can't make up her mind about who she loves..........
Not violent at all.

live triangles = love triangles.
But now I've said it, live triangles could be interesting......run away!
HUNGER GAMES nothing against Suzanne Collins BUT her writing style was just not for me AT ALL so I could NOT stand to read the book - I had gotten halfway through the first one and quit reading it because the writing style was just not one that I particularly enjoyed reading.
Lisa M. wrote: "I didn't like 'Fangirl' by Rainbow Rowell at all even though I loved her book 'Eleanor & Park' ."SAME I'm so glad to know that I'm not the only one!
God, there are SO MANY.
My most hated is definitely The Night Circus. I finished it but it was a MASSIVE struggle. I also hated Fallen and couldn't finish it the second time I tried to read it ... when I was younger I liked it but couldn't finish the second. John Green books.

I'm with u on that. I read the first 2 books of Fallen, but then when they traveled back in time I was like

So I stopped reading it after chapter 5

I thought the Maze Runner movies were okay. Throne of Glass...no...I just can't.
Lisa M. wrote: "I didn't like 'Fangirl' by Rainbow Rowell at all even though I loved her book 'Eleanor & Park' ."I agree with you on Fangirl! I haven't read Eleanor and Park.
for YA I'd have to say "Fangirl" by Rainbow Rowell. i stuck through and finished the book but at the end I felt like it was a waste of time. people have a bunch of different copies of this book but it was awful in my opinion.

"Totally agree with you there about The Hunger Games. Did not live up to hype. I generally try to choose books by their blurb rather than if they're popular, or else I usually won't enjoy them.
OH MY GOD, DEFINITELY "THE MORTAL INSTRUMENTS"! I feel bad about this because so many people love this series, but I read the first book and it was just ... meh. I really, really wanted to like it, also! The premise sounded fantastic, plus I'd just finished watching Buffy, and I wanted something like that. In the end, it just wasn't right for me. (Although I did get it hardcover from bookoutlet for $5, which was awesome.)

The blurb was really compelling, so maybe I should give it another try (?).
Ariella wrote: "That book was just slow, and cheesy, and awkward!"I know I was very disappointed the I decided to buy the book instead of check it out! That was such a bad decision!
I hope I don't get a lot of backlash for this, but honestly The Fault In Our Stars didn't really get to me a lot, so I had trouble getting through it. It was probably the way it was written in a flowing and direct yet oddly unrelatable style, in my opinion. I don't hate it nor would I over exaggerate it as the worst book I've ever read, but it certainly did disappoint me in a way. But it doesn't mean I didn't learn a few things from it.
I kinda agree about Shiver . but i planned to reread it again in case of change of mind. it's been a while since i read that book. i like the part about how wolves communicate.
@ashryver seriously??? i love Eleanor & Park so much I need the next book. it's so funny and sad too.
@eKa yeah i know; everyone i know who's read it is always surprised that i didn't get hooked by it XDi do love all of rainbow rowell's other books, though

AT ALL!!!!"I know you're not supposed to judge a book by its first few pages, but whenever I see it at the library I just can't get past those first few pages.
Okay so take the book that was supposed to be amazing but you really didn't think it was...What WOULD have made it amazing?
Definitely Twilight. ABSOLUTELY CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT. 99% pages describe Edward, his eyes, his nose, his jaw, his Breath! Pace is extremely slow.

Ha the breath thing was super weird to me, too.
I like the Mortal Instruments series enough, but I don't get why you guys just LOVE them so much. I didn't really like Clockwork Angel, which is one of the most well-liked books I've seen on GR, and almost quit that one altogether =(

Shiver, Matched series, Selection series, Throne of Glass series, Vampire Academy... I'm a hater heheI just want to rant about Throne of Glass, because I know a ton of people adore it ...
The main character annoys me so much. She's so obsessed with herself and wears dresses to fight in (??). I thought the plot itself had potential but the book kind of lost me. And who knew Chaol's name was pronounced like a vegetable? I always said it like cha-ul or something. Dorian makes me hungry for durian. And the love triangle... decagon? gives me a headache. Girl, make up your mind. That is all :P
