Lisa Kay (lisakayalicemaria) | 20787 comments So far...

5 Stars Audios
The Cuckoo's Calling (Cormoran Strike, #1) by Robert Galbraith Proven Guilty (The Dresden Files, #8) by Jim Butcher

Not quite finished with Etiquette & Espionage (Finishing School, #1) by Gail Carriger , but it is really great!

Good Gravy Beans! I have NOT read very many books this month. I think it is my lowest so far this year. Eep!

I'm kind of washed out after my mini vacation, and putzing around the house unpacking - and fiddle-farting around on GRs, too. So I'm re-listening to Not Quite Dating (Not Quite, #1) by Catherine Bybee - since it is light and breezy.

4½ Star
Watchers by Dean Koontz - not a "wow" on audio, though.

4 Star Audio & Reads
Always On My Mind (Lucky Harbor, #8) by Jill Shalvis The Bridgertons Happily Ever After by Julia Quinn The Black Widow by Charlotte Louise Dolan Looming Murder A Weaving Mystery by Carol Ann Martin Off the Grid (Monkeewrench #6) by P.J. Tracy

Contemporary: Echoes at Dawn (KGI, #5) by Maya Banks Doctor's Delight (Big Girls Lovin' Trilogy, #1) by Angela Verdenius Phantom Waltz (Kendrick/Coulter/Harrigan, #2) by Catherine Anderson

Gea (gea89) | 412 comments Lisa Kay, so The Cuckoo's Calling (Cormoran Strike, #1) by Robert Galbraith was good? I haven't read a crime book in a long time, this could be a nice return to the genre

I just loved it, Gea. It is like the old detective books, in a way, but is set in the present. Also, JKR's writing is wonderful. Very well narrated, if you like those. I'm sure I'll re-read it sometime next year, too. ... it was that good!

Katie aka Moogles (mooglesrgreat) I would have to say these have been the best I have read/listened to this month:

The Fault in Our Stars by John Green gave 5 stars

The Law of Nines by Terry Goodkind 5 stars (I am a huge fangirl of Terry Goodkind so I am biased)

Highlander Most Wanted (The Montgomerys and Armstrongs, #2) by Maya Banks 5 stars

The Madness of Lord Ian Mackenzie (Highland Pleasures, #1) by Jennifer Ashley 4 stars (this was a re-read for me but I still read it this month)

read lots of good books this month but these are the ones that stand out

Gisela (chicadorlando) | 4022 comments My slump's over! Thanks to Kresley Cole's Immortals After Dark series. I've read 12 books so far and might finish another one tomorrow. Of those 12, six where from IAD. My faves:

A Hunger Like No Other (Immortals After Dark, #2) by Kresley Cole - liked Emma's growth throughout the book
No Rest for the Wicked (Immortals After Dark, #3) by Kresley Cole - Gotta love a genius hero who's ready to sacrifice anything and everything for his beloved.
Dark Desires After Dusk (Immortals After Dark, #6) by Kresley Cole - Loved the banter and humor in this one. Holly is my favorite heroine so far and Cade's accent is to die for. Audio is a must for this one.

Of the rest I read:
The Measure of Katie Calloway by Serena B. Miller - Great storytelling and I got it as a freebie!

I read that series waaaayyyy before reading the Dresden books. They got me hooked on Butcher's writing.

Nichole | 512 comments I had a crazy month and not as much reading time :(

I didn't have any 5 star reads either, but that is probably more to do with the distractions. Of the 8 books I managed to read these were my favorites.

Poison Study (Study, #1) by Maria V. Snyder Visions of Heat (Psy-Changeling, #2) by Nalini Singh Love Only Once (Malory-Anderson Family, #1) by Johanna Lindsey Seduction of a Highland Lass (McCabe Trilogy, #2) by Maya Banks and Never Love a Highlander (McCabe Trilogy, #3) by Maya Banks
