That would work great Theo. I'll set up the thread for the 3 of us.
• Chance and Community Chest – there are 12 cards for each. If a player lands on one of those spots they will roll the dice a second time and then would “pull” the corresponding card and do whatever it says on the card. Once a card is used, it will be out of play unless needed to finish the game. Books for this would need to be at least 150 pages.So when a card is used, we put it out of the deck. So if the used card had a number 6 it means if another player lands there and rolls 6 has to roll again?
Hi there! I'm new to the group, but this looks like fun. I am a challenge addict. :) I usually manage 2 or 3 books a week.
Paris I have a question: In the event that 2 players on the same team are playing for the same space and one finishes before the other, does the loser then have to read the extra books because the property is now owned in order to move on in the game?

I asked this before... You just have to read the one book.... To move and since you were there before anyone owned property , it is rent free this time...no extra books

@LoganIf you don't mind joining a game that has already started, we would be happy to have you. We read about 3 books a week as well (although its been a slow start).

What's the definition for a book that someone thought stunk? A book that has someone who rated it 1 star or a book that consistently gets low ratings?
It could be either of those TC. Or if someone DNF'd it or a friend of yours told you it was bad. Just let us know where you got it from when you review it.

Mandy, you can read the book or you can roll twice a day for jail. So you end up there, you can roll once more that day and then twice the next day.

from this list...."i didn't like it on audio either. i ended up switching to the e-book about 55% into the book and liked the 2nd half much better. Read it instead and you will be able to tolerate it better.
*some books just don't translate as well as audiobooks.

Me too, but I almost DNF'd that book twice listening to it. But ended up liking it better when I read it

Audiobooks are so hit and miss for me. I have issues with the narrators and then it ruins what are probably pretty good books. I've kinda stopped trying to make myself like audiobooks because I'm afraid of not being able to finish a book because the narrator sucks.

Ok I'm on the B&O railway and have to find a book that stunk from somewhere. It says that you can have one from a friends list so had a look and Paris would your try again later list class as DNF ?
Vicci, sure. since I did dnf them at one time. I also have a full on dnf shelf with books that most people have loved. good luck.
Thanks paris I read Across the Universe I can see why it is a DNF haha.Another question I don't think has been asked yet, although may have been is, what happens when we pass GO or land on it? I think I may be there on my next roll and want to double check.
Ok forget that I've just found it sorry. GO =read a book of 200 pages or more, although is that just landing on it or as well as your roll?
I don't know if this as been asked, but what happens if you roll doubles? Anything? Or just go on as normal?
