Rebecca | 50 comments Pick a new book to read together? We haven't done that in a while even though some of us have read the same books.

message 2: by Beth A. (new)

Beth A. (bethalm) | 120 comments I think it's a great idea. Any suggestions?

message 3: by Heather (new)

Heather | 83 comments I'm up for that. I'll read anything but I did hear of something the other day that sounded interesting. Has anyone heard of or read "Her Royal Spyness"? They were talking about it at our last Relief Society book club meeting. They said that it was very funny and entertaining. I understand that it is about an impoverished British aristocrat that turns to spying to make ends meet.

Beth A. (bethalm) | 120 comments I haven't heard of "Her Royal Spyness," but it sounds good. I would read it. Anyone else interested?

Rebecca | 50 comments Sounds great to me! I'm going to see if my library has it right now! When should we plan on starting?

message 7: by Heather (new)

Heather | 83 comments Me too. By the way, the author is Rhys Bowen. I suggest we start next week.

message 8: by Beth A. (new)

Beth A. (bethalm) | 120 comments I just reserved it at my local library. Hopefully it won't take too long to come in.

Melissa (mejojac) | 11 comments I just got it from the library and started it today. So far it's fairly entertaining with several laugh out loud moments :)

message 10: by Heather (new)

Heather | 83 comments I just finished. This is a really fun read. I think it would fall under the category of "light" or "cozy" mystery but it is well written with lively dialogue and a witty, funny heroine. I enjoy a fun mystery and this fit the bill. Plus, there is no lewdness or language so it's easy to recommend.

I liked the peak at the "royals" and the pluckiness of the main character Georgie. Melissa is right, there are several laugh out loud moments. My only complaint is that it breezed by before I was ready to let it go.

Heather | 83 comments Has anyone else finished? I think I'm going to check out the next one in the series. I like how Goergie creatively faces the challenges of life outside her aristocratic bubble and I want to see what she does next.

message 12: by Beth A. (new)

Beth A. (bethalm) | 120 comments I'm about half way through. It's definitely light reading.

message 13: by Melissa (new)

Melissa (mejojac) | 11 comments I finished it too. It's a good light read. Fun for the summer. I was pleased that it was clean!! So tired of getting half way through a book only to find some nasty stuff in there... this was good :)
