Hmm, some nice ideas there! Hey, this was supposed to help me narrow it down, not give me even more to chose from! ;)

Chilled to DeathOf course, I don't know how the murder occurred, so that might not work.
Hmm....Frozen Stiff.ETA: another well-used title.
Now I'm doing it,. But we may find the one that jumps up and down and tells me it's the winner.
Frozen Stiff is close but the cover would have to work with it well.
How about "Set in the freezer" ?Or

I liked the one in the comments of your blog, "The Ice Cream Did It."Something that popped into my head: "Barred to Death."
Eh. I don't know. Good luck though! I'd love to be able to write cozies, but I'm horrid at devising (and solving!) mysteries. Tell you what, though, your blurb makes me want to read it :)

Thank you, Juli and Jamielynn! Whatever title I end up with, I hope you do read it and enjoy. The hardest part about this was making sure no one resembled too much anyone I've worked with over the years. . . :0

Mmm. Murder on Ice has potential [runs off to check Amazon]. Rats. Two other books beat me to it.
Bummer. It was all I could come up with. At times I wonder how I can be a writer with so little imagination. Wait...brain cells are engaging. How about Cold Storage, Frosty Encounter, or Set to Zero? There, now I feel better.

I'd LOVE to be a cozy writer, but my brain doesn't work that way [sad face]. While I like to think I can write (working on a novel right now, actually), I cannot for the life of me work up a good mystery for a cozy, and I hardly ever have it solved before the reveal. I do love them, though!

Perhaps we need to make a repository of book titles that cozy authors can just select from. We may not be awesome at writing the books, but we are HILARIOUS at coming up with titles!

Great idea! I have lots of books in me, and struggle over the titles. You guys are hired.
BTW, Death By Ice Cream is leading in the poll. Majesty's me think of the ice cream truck we hijacked this summer...

I do like The Corpse in the Cooler and A Really Cool PTA (though the latter probably wouldn't really work). Titles ARE tough. And really important . I got spoiled with The Ninja Librarian, since it was a pretty obvious choice!

Okay, so I put up my five favorites from the suggestions (some of the best were already well used, so I disqualified them, and a few others just didn't work with the story). The race is on, and currently nearly neck-and-neck between "Death by Ice Cream" and "The Corpse in the Cooler" (we all like alliteration, don't we?).
I can't wait to see which on wins! This has been a lot of fun Rebecca!

Get your friends to vote :DOf course, in the end, I'll have the final say. Or I would, if I could make up my mind. Corpse in the Cooler has that wonderful alliteration. But Death by Ice Cream has. . . ice cream. Also a naming pattern that might be repeatable/sustainable for a series ("Death by this" and "Death by that," like MC Beaton and the "Death of a . . . " pattern).
Geez now I have a craving for ice cream in spite of the corpse! I love ice cream bars.
