A fractionless society would be good without Evelyn being a dictator. People would do whatever job they like and they will dress however they like. And, you know, words like Stiff or Nose won't be used anymore. On the other hand in a fractionless society there might be troubles. There will be fights between people. Like ex-Daughtless and ex-Erudite. There will be more conflicts. But I think it will be like society today. And, of course, there will be Allegiants, who will insist something to say the same or change.
I think factions could have worked better if the factionless were a faction too. (obviously called something else.) Whenever people are oppressed though, there will be trouble lurking around the corner.

I liked the general idea of factions, but without all the hate/dislike between them, like Erudite vs. Abnegation in the beginning and just how each Faction generally disliked people from other factions.
I think factionless is the best choice for society. I mean, if you look at all of the people within the factions, they are all blends of different factions, whether considered Divergent or not. Upbringing affected who the people were, even though they switched factions later in life. Look at Caleb for example. Toward the end of Allegiant we get to see his Abnegation side shine through when it really mattered.
I think factionless would be better. All of the factions have good human qualities but people should have all of them not only the braveness, selflessness, intelligence, kindness, and honesty. The problem with factions is that first you start of selfless and then the selflessness goes to you can't see yourself in the mirror? One thing is giving up your seat on the bus for elders, and another thing is not running down the stairs because it drives attention to yourself and that is not what you are supposed believe. The factions starts getting out of hand and that is what you see in the whole series. Human beings aren't perfect and if you can grasp just a little from these virtues we could be reasonable and just awesome people! So I kind of think like Tobias. I want to be everything; brave, selfless, intelligent, kind, and honest. <3
I really loved the factions and I wish that they werent ya know (cant say bc of spoilers) but this book was great and awesome and all of those awesome things you can say but im really dissapointed bc of the factions
Factions would be a lot better if they could all work together and accept their different styles of life. Factionless is also good, apart from the fact that they are going to kill everybody who stands between them and what they want. I think that the factions should of worked with the factionless to create a fairer life style for all of them.
This is a hard question. It really depends on when, and exactly what the context of this question is!
