Jasper takes hold of Fiona's hand. "Let's go. I'm excited to check this place out" His face radiating his excitement. He walks with her into the doors of the library.

"Now, let's go," she said, taking hold of his hand and heading towards the entrance to the library.

"Come on. I want to see this place." She was grinning now as she led the way to the library entrance. It's nice to see soul collectors somewhere else. I'd thought ours was the last one, so I didn't know there were any left in the world after it died. Ooh, I need to stop thinking about that or I'm going to get angry again. Damned Uncle Bradley.

Jasper follows Fiona into the library. His earlier eagerness had dropped down a bit, but he was still excited about visiting the library. Upon entering, Jasper took in every aspect of the huge place. "I didn't think it would be so big" He walked with Fiona deeper into the building. "Should we seek out some books or I could see where I go to get one of these soul collectors to find something for me" He glanced around.

"Let's follow him. He'll show us where to go. I know how to speak to them," she explained with a small, sad smile. She began to follow the little creature, who stayed low enough and flew slow enough for them to keep him in sight. When they arrived at the desk marked 'Information and Requests', it flew away. Fiona whistled another short note, a higher one, one that served as a sort of thanks.

At the ' Information and Request' desk, two male elf twin were standing at the desk. Both had long white hair and pale skin. The neither smile nor frown at the two who approached the desk. The elf male on the left took the initiative and spoke. "Hello, we are the temporary fill ins under Dean Ilivarra. I'm Alan and and he is my brother Adam. How can we assists you?"

Jasper looks at Fiona before addressing Alan. "I would like to know how I could use the soul collectors to get what I need" Alan nods his head. "To use the soul collectors just write the name of whatever document, book, or anything with a title on a small slip of paper. Hold the paper up in the air, and one of they will collect the paper." Adam, shifted his eyes to the vampire "If you require something that does not have a name, please do tell us and we will try to guide the soul collectors in retrieving the information you seek"

She turned to look at the elf twins when they spoke. Elves willingly working with a dark elf? How very strange. I guess the dean must not be like other dark elves. Now I'm curious about her. I will have to meet her sometime. Of course, I still need to ask her about Draven. Why she hired that man to be a teacher I will never understand.
She smiled as she listened to the brothers telling Jasper how to use the soul collectors. She could have told him most of that! Of course, not many people had dealings with these creatures outside of this library and other large magical libraries.
From some of the reading she'd done, her family's library had once been very large. It had housed a dozen of the creatures back then, before much of the collection was sold off or destroyed.

Jasper and the two elf brothers glanced at Fiona when she had mentioned that last part about the soul collectors. "Yes, you must be an beast tamer" Adam had assumed about Fiona before his brother jumps in "If you two need any other help, we will be here waiting to be asked"
Shifting his eyes back to the two, he nods his head in understanding. "Yes, we're be sure to do that, but I'm sure we shouldn't have a problem" He sought for Fiona's hand and wrapped his fingers around hers. "Thank you both" He turns to walk around with Fina but stops. Turning back, "What are you policies on using a study room?" Alan smiles "They are open for anyone to use. Just go into one and an green light will pop on above the door to show that the room is in use"

"A beast tamer?" Fiona repeated quietly. "I don't know. Maybe," she said with a shrug. There had been beast tamers in her family history, so it was possible. It just wasn't terribly likely. Seamus was a much more likely candidate; he had the temperament for it anyway.
Fiona smiled as Jasper took her hand. "Yes, thank you," she murmured to the elf twins. She blushed when Jasper asked about the study rooms. She had a feeling the twins knew why he'd asked. She couldn't help but blush a bit brighter.
She started to walk off with Jasper, her hand in his.

"I wanted to see if there are any old books on fire magic. I don't know any titles. But I should be able to get one of the soul collectors to find something for me since I know how to talk to them," she said with a small shrug.

"Fire magic"Jasper smiles giving Fiona hand a light squeeze "Could you perhaps teach me?I may be able to learn some fire"He would use the fire technique to fight Draven if things boiled down to that.

"I can try," Fiona said with a smile. "I'd like to try my hand at teaching." I hope to have kids of my own someday. I'll need to teach them how to use their powers. Couldn't hurt to have some practice first.

Within minutes they stopped in front of the magic section of the library. Jasper turns his head from Fiona to the bookcase. "Alright I guess we should start our search. You can look for fight and I can look under black magic. Sounds good?" Jasper lets go of Fiona hand.

Fiona nodded at his suggestion. She turned and raised herself up on tiptoe to kiss his cheek. "Sounds like a plan. I'll take this side," she said as she walked towards the right end of the shelves. She read the signs on the ends of the aisles until she found one that was supposed to have books on fire magic.

Jasper reluctantly watches at Fiona turned away from him to go search the books. He turns to the other side, and he scans the shelves quickly until his eyes settled on an purple book that held the title 'The Dark Ones'. He takes the book from the shelf and he started to flip through the pages.

She could read enough Old English and Middle English to know it when she saw it. She scanned the shelves looking for any titles in either of those languages. She grinned when she reached the bottom shelf. She knelt in front of it and pulled out a brand-new-looking book with a title in Old English. She opened it, grinning even wider to find the modern translation of each page opposite their corresponding page. She held on to it and pulled out two more books with titles in Middle English. She stood and took the books out of the stacks and back to one of the tables they'd passed earlier.
She jumped, making the books fall out of her arms and onto the table, when her phone vibrated again. She growled softly as she pulled it back out. Another text from Seamus. This one asked her to stop by once she left the library. And to bring Jasper with her. She rolled her eyes and turned off the phone. Then she finally sat down, putting the phone back up. She pulled the Old English tome towards herself and opened it up.

He begins to read the words of the first page of the book. The words goes as follow:
Those who are reading this book: do know that you have entered into a world that no longer is corrupted by the rules of the ‘bad world’. You will be introduced to some better knowledge of what the world you live in is like. Your eyes will become open to the truth of your world and you would come to know a better world.
You may even become one of the Dark Ones if we see that you have the mindset. We ask you to open your eyes and mind to a few secrets we are about to tell you. Do know that you will be taught a few new powers that would change you forever. We will always be on the lookout for one who has the talent that will bring our elite team to greatness.
Jasper closed the book after he read that part. He would check the book out to learn more about the powers the book spoke of. He than searches the shelves for another book that would provide some potential information that would help him.

Most of the spells in this book were familiar ones. She managed to find three that weren't familiar. She pulled her phone back out and stuck it between the final two pages with an unfamiliar spell. The next to last one, she stuck a finger in and flipped back to the first one. As she read it, she realized it was one she knew. It was explained differently and had a couple of different gestures, but it was essentially the same spell. She sighed softly and flipped to the next one. Maybe it would be something new.

Reaching the spot where Fiona sat looking inside a book, he smiled a little. He liked the fact that they shared an common interest: books. "So have you found what you needed. I think I did" He lifted the book in his left arm up so she could see.

"I'm not sure," Fiona murmured, still reading the book in front of her. She looked up at Jasper and smiled. She reads the title of the book he holds and frowns. "The Dark Ones? Isn't that about demons?" she asked as a shiver crawled down her spine.
So that's what Draven was. A demon. Or demon blood at least. That explained why he felt so cold. One of her ancestors had been a dark mage, supposedly. If that was true, might she have some demon blood in her? No, no, it was just Great Uncle something-or-other, not a direct blood relative. So the chances were very, very slim. But not zero. She shivered again, not liking where her thoughts were going.
"I've got to finish looking over this spell, and one other one before I'll be done, so you may as well sit here with me," she said with a smile.
Lura wrote: "Kaden nearly sighed with relief. "I'm sure they'll have something." He carried her back into the main hallway, half hoping that damned vampire would see them back together again, and out the back d..."zSofia looked up at the tall building in aw. "They have to have something here." she whispered mostly to herself. "Alright, what now?" she asked, shifting a bit in her grasp.

"Now? We go inside. There should be a help desk or something. I hope." Kaden carried Sofia to the front doors of the library, which he opened without having to set her down. He carried her inside and followed the signs to the information desk, where they were greeted by a pair of elf twins.

"Ah, okay," Fiona said, nodding. His words confirmed her suspicions about Draven. He had to be a demon of some kind. "I don't know if you'll be able to use those powers, since you're not a demon. Unless you make a contract with a demon," she said with a small frown. "Bad idea, that. Or so I understand. I'd rather not find out for sure myself."
She looked back down at the book in front of her. "I think so. Most of these spells are basic. I know all but two of the spells in this book. And it's the oldest one with a title I can read. I hoped there would be more spells I didn't know. I'll probably have to ask one of the soul collectors for help finding an even older book."
She gestured to the page in front of her. "This spell isn't one I know, but it doesn't seem terribly difficult. I'm not sure how to pronounce the incantation," she said, pointing it out on the page in Old English. "It will work as translated," she said, pointing to the translation on the facing page. "But spells are always more powerful in their original language."

A bad idea-to contact a demon, but what if- Jasper leans over to look at the spell in which Fiona pointed to. "Maybe a professor here could help you pronounced the spell in it's originate language. I would like to know how powerful this spell is" AN thought came to mind and he turned his head to face Fiona. "Can you use me as an practice dummy? " He spoke quickly to keep her from protesting first before he finished his explanation "What if I can promise you that I won't feel a thing. That I saw this spell in this book" He held the book up "That could either reflect or adsorb any power that is aimed at me. Would you practice your magic on me?"

"I need to find out how to resist mind control. I just had a run-in with the dark magic professor. It didn't go well. I'd be quite grateful for your assistance," he said.
"And my girlfriend is looking for information on her family's history. Hurst is the name. From England, I believe?" he looked down at Sofia to see if he was correct. And to give her the opportunity to add to the request if she wished.

"Yeah, maybe. Old English is so rarely used for spells, though, I don't expect anyone to know it. Though it is similar to Danish," she mused.
Her eyes flashed fire at his first question. Just as she opened her mouth to speak, he started talking again. She listened to what he had to say, shaking her head all the way through it. "No. I really don't think you should use anything from that book." She held up a finger, telling him she had more to say.
"But if you really want me to practice on you, I can cast a fireproof spell on you. If Seamus helps me with it, you could be completely immune to fire. There aren't very many mages in the world more powerful than the two of us when we work together. Possibly none. One that powerful using fire magic would be the only thing that could burn you."
Oh, there's a thought. Fire immunity. I'd almost bet Draven has it. That is if he is the demon blood I suspect him to be. Well damn.
Sofia blushed intensely when he called her his girlfriend. She nodded. "yeah, that is right. Um I am looking for something about some sort of secret." she specified, getting closer to Kaden, she did not like talking to strangers.

Alan waited until Adam finished before he started in on Sofia's quest for knowledge. "The Hurst? You may have to ask one of the collectors to seek out some information that you requested on this family name. You could fill out this piece of paper and hold it up to them or if you have the power to speak directly to them, than do feel feel to ask them" Alan spoke directly to Sofia.

Jasper frowned when she shake her head and rejected his suggestion. He was convinced that the book holds some powers that Draven himself didn't know, and if this was the only option to beat the demon lord than he would have to take it. He did started to try to convince her that this could be the only way but he was stopped by her finger. Rolling his eyes at the gesture, he listened to her suggestion.
"Fireproof fire spell, that could work but it will do nothing to improve my own powers. I can't face Draven at the level I'm at Fiona.I can't walk into his class at the current level I'm at.He already have the upper hand. I have to find a way to protect us both form him."

"The other I'll have to remember for later." Much later, most likely. I expect classes to take up most of my time here in just over a week. It may take the full week - or more - to master this skill.

Fiona smiled sadly and nodded. "That's true. I can teach you some fire magic, and maybe a little wind magic. Seamus might be talked into teaching you a bit of earth magic. Maybe. If I ask nicely.
"I think we should do the fireproof spell anyway. He can likely use fire magic too; most demons can. Their realm is made mostly of fire after all. He wouldn't expect you to be immune to fire, so that can give you an edge. Maybe not enough of one, but it would be something. Something I can do to help you. I don't like the idea of you facing him, but I understand the need for it." She laid a hand on his arm, briefly squeezing it as she smiled sadly.
"Give me a minute to look over these two spells and we can go. Maybe we can start teaching you magic tonight. Or at least me.
"Oh! Seamus wants us to stop by his room once we leave here."
Sofia listened carefully to the conversations. She was not too happy with the answer she got. She wanted to find this information as soon as possible and they where only making the task longer. She hated to admit it but she occasionally liked things her way, and fast. She sighed, laying her head on Kaden's shoulder and playing with her fingers.

Alan shifted his eyes from Sofia(Emily-I'm not sure) to Kaden. He noticed his brother willingness to engage in a deeper conversation with the boy. He wondered why.

"Wind, fire, and earth. I'm fluttered that you are willing to teach me so much. To help me with your all. I do thank you for that" Jasper covered her hand on his arm. "You can do the spell if you want too, but as you have said Draven can withstand the fire because of what he is. And if my guess is correct-he will most likely take pleasure in broken your spell on me with his demon powers. He likes to push a person until they are hopelessness enough to submit to him." Jasper shifted his eyes down a little "He doesn't want to face the fact that he is a demon, so that should help us up to a certain point" Jasper wonders how long Draven could resist the demonic part of him. He knew that Draven was once taught to be the very vampire he is today-for Draven had told him that he was out of control when he first awoke. Draven had told him about how this ancient vampire came along and taught him in the ways of a elite vampire. Jasper guessed that the ancient vampire had taught Draven to hate and reject the demon half of himself, but than when Jasper looked back into Draven or the former Eric Copper life. He managed to find out that his upbringing had also contributed to his rejection of his demonic self. "The spell will be very much helpful" Jasper decided after some consideration. He smiled when she asked for a minute "I will give you all the time in the world" An dreamy look entered Jasper eyes as he watched Fiona. The look disappeared at her last statement "What does he need us for? Although I wouldn't mind speaking to Seamus myself-I want to talk to him about you and us, so he knows about me at least"

Mind control falls under illusion? That's interesting. That was no illusion, though. I almost choked Sofia to death. Scary stuff. I would never hurt her. I think she may be my soul mate. I've never felt this way about anyone before.
Kaden listened carefully to the young elf's words, nodding occasionally. "Okay. So where would I find those?"
He looked down at Sofia. "Will you be alright if I set you down? You need to fill out that form anyway," he murmured.

Fiona cocked her head as he mentioned Draven breaking the spell with his demon powers. "I'm not sure even a demon's powers would work to break through our spell. Under other circumstances, I would be interested to see how such a thing would play out. But not with your life being on the line. I just found you; I don't want to lose you so soon."
The dreamy look in his eyes for a few seconds had her biting back a huge grin. He may not have wanted to admit it before, but now he was acting more like a man in love. She shrugged in response to his question. "He just said he wanted to speak to us. If you'll put a finger where my phone is in the book, you can look at the text message yourself. It was really short, roughly half a dozen words." (view spoiler)
Sofia hesitated but nodded "alright..." She waited until her feet where on the ground, but even then she tightly gripped his shirt. She looked ahead, "alright, where are these papers?" She asked a bit bluntly. She herself knew she was being slightly short and rude but she was almost exhausted from crying and (as if she would admit it) not fond if having to do things the hard way, especially if it was not her way, she was raised with everything she could ever need or want at her finger tips and it occasionally showed. "There should not be much information you would need anyways."

Alan eyes shifted to Sofia. "The family name you requested. I believe I remember something from a search for a book on werecats, give me a second" Alan puts a finger to his chin in thought "Hurst.....Hurst.. where do I remember seeing something like that..."(Rika and Lura-I have a werecat I want to bring in: my question is would you two be interested in a plot with him-we can talk about it in the chat thread:)) Moving his eyes back to Sofia, "Hurst, yes I remember now. I saw the name along with another name. The Family Nighttail, yes, a book on your family was right along that name. You can check along the two floor on the third row of the feline section" Alan than picks up once of the forms and hands a form out toward Sofia. "Here is the form to fill out just in case you still wanted additional information"

"I can assure you that I have been in more dangerous stuff than you could even think of..than again, you did say you had dreams about me, so maybe you do know. Either way, I won't talk about those experiences to you." Jasper took the page where the phone was holding the page into his hand. He scans the page first to read the spell she may have been looking at, but than picks up the phone. Reading the text, he images a distorted image of Seamus saying those lines in an overly muscular voice. He chuckled a little to himself. "He seems like he is a charmer. Well, guess I'll have to wait and see" he put the phone back under the page it was holding. Than he leans on the table, facing Fiona, and he begins to drift into a day dream until she was finish studying the spell. He had the book under his elbow and was leaning on it on the table.
