Sofia looked up at him for a long moment in hesitation. "Y...yeah, I should be fine." She whispered, though she was unsure. "Just...meet me back here." She said softly, She hated to sound clingy but she could not help herself. She had never been a fan of wide open rooms, and the high ceiling even made her uneasy. It was never something she admitted to though.
Alan and Adam both nodded back to the two. They watched the couple make arrangements to meet up again. They briefly wonder how the couple ever got together not that they were busy bodies. The both shared an interest in how relationships formed between two individuals.

Jasper looks up at Fiona when he felt her hand on his arm. He stands up a bit to quickly causing the chair he was sitting in to fall to the floor. An bam noise could be heard causing Jasper to blush, if the blush could be seen on his white skin. "Sorry" Jasper said in a apologized tone to no one in particular as the floor they were had about one other person who was a couple of rows down. Jasper steps back and picks up the chair. He grabbed the purple book and took a step toward Fiona "May I carry your books?"

"Of course," Kade whispered back. He leaned over and kissed her forehead lightly. "I'll be back soon." He turned and headed for the staircase they'd passed earlier. He made his way up to the specified floor and found the section on illusion magic. Before long, he had picked out a handful of books and carried them towards a nearby table.
He would flip through them and see if they had any useful information before checking them out of the library. They would be useless if all they contained was stuff he already knew.
*****
"Certainly," Fiona replied, grinning. She handed over her books and took hold of his arm. She liked staying in constant contact with him. Touching him reassured her that he was real, that she had found him at last. After years of dreaming of her soul mate, she had found him.
Unfortunately, with his 'friend' around, she stood a chance of losing him before they had much time together. Or of him losing her. She doubted either of them could survive a head-on fight against the horrible man; together was the only way they stood a chance. She shook her head to clear it.

Jasper took her books, and smiled when she placed her arm in his. He walked with her back down to the front desk. "I guess we're find out how to check out books here. I assumed it would be the same way any other library is, but I find it interesting to see the different changes over time" They reached the front desk in a matter of minutes.
The twins-Adam and Alan- stood there unmoving as if they were frozen in time. The watched the couple approached the desk. They watched as Jasper placed the books on the table. "You are checking this out, correct?" Adam.asked as he reached for the books.
Jasper nodded his head yes. "If it is alright to take the books"

Sofia hesitated, walking through the large library, doing her bet to remember the floor and section. She needed to go to. She found her way after a few minutes, starting up the stairs. "This place is huge." She whispered to herself. She had never been on a library this big, but she was hoping she could atleast find some books that where not distoroyed. Sofia found the right section before scanning through the books.
Fiona nodded in response to his comment about seeing changes over time. "Yeah, I remember when I was really little, our local library used to use handwritten library cards. They only switched the system over to computers about ten years ago. I wonder what they use here?" she murmured, right about the time they were approaching the desk.
"Jasper wants to check out this one," she said, pointing out the one book he'd selected. "I'd like to check out the others, please," she finished with a smile.
*****
Kaden flipped through the books he'd selected. Two went off to the side immediately as they weren't about actual magic, just slight of hand. The titles had been quite misleading, he thought. Another soon joined those two as it had nothing new in it; it was all just really basic stuff on resisting mind control. He already knew all of that.
He did find two out of the stack of books that had some unfamiliar information in them. He put the four books he wasn't taking on a cart marked for them. He wondered briefly who would put them back before deciding he didn't really care. He didn't have to do it, so he wasn't worried about it.
He carried the two books he wished to check out back downstairs towards when the twins had sent Sofia.

Adam looked at the books while Alan turned to a computer. Adam handed the book Jasper wanted to check out to Alan. Alan scans the book under a small machine that sat next to the computer. He had pulled up Jasper information on the computer sceen. Once finished, Alan pushed the book back over to Jasper. The same process was done for each of the books for Fiona. After each book was scanned, Alan pushed the books over to Fiona. Both boys looked over to the two. "Your books are due in three weeks. "
Jasper looked at his book. He decided to wait until Fiona books came over before he picked them up. After the twins finished with the books, he scooped them up into his hands. "Thank you" Jasper scooped up the books and held them at his side. "Shall we?" He grabbed her hand again and turned with her toward the entry.

((I was going to wait for Rika, but I figure Jasper and Fiona will be leaving soon, so I may as well go ahead and post for Fiona.))
Fiona watched the twins as they went through the check-out process. She hadn't noticed the computer sitting off to one side until they started using it. They seemed to know where everything was by memory. Impressive, given the size of this library.
She smiled as Jasper took her hand. "Yes, let's." She followed his lead as they headed towards the entrance/exit.

((Before I reply with Sofia, is Iesha still making her character that has the missing pages? If so I should privet message her what the secret is so his has that information.))
(Yea sorry,I lost the idea for it. So I'm just making a werecat. They can meet up but it would be on friendly terms. Also, i don't know how long I will be without internet so I also don't want to keep you guys waiting. Ill post for jasper and Fiona at the courtyard or somewhere else since they are leaving.)
Sofia sighed as she looked through a few books. She got frustrated seeing the pages she needed where yet again missing. She began to shake softly in frustration and aggravation. She was tired of this cycle. She knew there was something Andrew and her father where not telling her, but what was it? She slammed the book she had shut before putting her head down "Stupid." She whispered angrily to herself. "This whole thing is just stupid, I should just stop trying."
((I thought the pages weren't going to be missing after all since Iesha's character won't have them...))
((Ah. Okay. ^_^ ))
Kaden looked down each aisle as he passed it, searching for Sofia. He smiled when he finally found her. He walked down the aisle between the shelves towards her. "Find everything?" he asked as he got closer to her.
He had two books under one arm, so he'd apparently found something useful. He hoped Sofia had been successful in her search as well.

She looked up at Kaden, giving him a long glance before looking back down, putting her head in her hands. "Why am I doing this?" She asked softly. "I knew I would not find anything." She stood up slowly, "I need to talk to Andy." She whispered, looking down at the four books she had sprawled across the table. She looked down at one, tracing her finger over the Family crest on the cover. "I need to ask him what happened to those pages.
Kade wrapped his arm around Sofia's shoulders in an attempt to comfort her. "Then let's go find him," he said simply. He knew the boy would still be upset by their being together, but he would have to get over it. He and Sofia belonged together.
"I just need to stop at the desk and check these out before we go." He gathered up the books she'd been looking through and carried them over to a cart for someone else to shelve.

Sofia nodded softly. "alright." She whispered, moving close to him and burring her face. "Can we hurry? I Want to go back to sleep." She said simply. She felt so drained, everything seemed like a blur to her. "I just want to talk to Andy then go back to my room." She said. She pulled back slightly, taking his hand. "Are you going to stay the night?" She asked, "Or go back to your own dorm??"
((I didn't realize it'd been so long since I replied! You should have said something, hun.))
"Yeah, let's hurry." Kade paused while she continued to speak, nodding when she mentioned being tired. "That depends. Do you want me to stay the night?" He was of two minds on that front: he wanted to stay with her, to protect her from the darkness hovering over the campus and yet he wanted to be far away from her so he couldn't hurt her again.
He squeezed her hand gently before heading for the stairs down. Soon as he checked out this book they could be on their way.

((I wanted too but I am socially awkward xD))Sofia nodded "I want you to stay." She said simply. "I don't want to be alone...not yet at least." She said before gently squeezing his hand back. She gave a tiny smile as they walked down the stairs. "I take it you found something?" she whispered softly, looking down at the book in his hands. She wanted to keep the conversation going, not wanting it to be silent for so long.
((Sorry again! I thought I had replied here. o.O ))
Kaden nodded as she admitted she didn't want to be alone. He wasn't remotely surprised by that; she'd been clinging to him even after he almost choked her.
"Yeah. I found something. Just not sure how helpful it will be. It looks useful from what little bit I read, but I'll have to actually try it out to see if it works or not." He shuddered; he was not looking forward to another meeting with that man.
They were soon back at the desk. "I'd like to check out this book," he said to the elven twins as he laid the book on the counter.

Sofia nodded "alright" she said softly. She followed him down the stairs and to the front of the library, looking up at the librarians when he handed the book over. She watched the exchange quietly. She stayed close to Kaden, thinking over what she would say to her brother when she got to him. She really wanted to know what was going on, it could not be a coincidence that all the pages she needed where missing.
((Crap! It's been almost a month. Again. I am so, so sorry. If I didn't need to go to bed two hours ago, I'd reply now. :( ))
((Now it's been another week. I am so, so sorry.))
Kaden smiled down at Sofia as the twins took care of checking out the book in his name. He couldn't help but think how lucky he was to have her. And to have her put up with all he'd done in the past several hours.
"Thanks," Kade said as the book was laid back on the counter in front of him. He picked it up and tucked it under his arm. He put his other arm around Sofia's shoulders and turned towards the exit.
Let's get this over with. Her brother's not going to be happy to see me. "Let's go see that brother of yours."

Sofia smiled a bit a bed nodded "let's go." She said softly. She began leading Kaden to the exit, wanting to get to her brother. She began pullin him along, getting a bit impatient with how slow they where going. Sofia wanted to know what was going on, Andrew had to know something about this. She bit her lip as she thought about what she would say as soon as they got there, goin I've the conversation over and over in her head.
Romulus left the Reception Center with a smile of his face. He had enjoyed the conversation with the receptionist, and he hoped to be able to find more liked minds. Being an werecat, mysteries and rumors surrounded him as easy as rain fell from the sky. Did he have secrets? Why yes, he did. He was indeed part of an group of individuals who lives for quite a long time, their mine lives in fact. As he walked across the courtyard, he spots an rather interesting sight: an library. His green eyes brightens with an shine of happiness. Heading over to the library, he made his way up to the doors of the promising building and steps inside. The dusty odor of books hits his nose instantly. With an causal walk, he by passes the librarians as he knew just where he was going as he strides along the first floor of the library.
Anaelle Rose hurried towards the library. She wasn't supposed to start her new job until Monday, but she wanted to get a feel for the place first. The library was supposed to be huge, an idea that excited her. She hadn't seen any really big libraries since she left New York City decades ago. Actually, that wasn't quite true. She'd seen a huge one in Raleigh, on the campus of NC State University, but she hadn't been inside it. Not only would she get to go into this one, she would be in charge of it!
She went through the front doors of the library and stopped dead. It was gorgeous! Huge, and magnificent, and wonderful, and... hers. It was incredible. She was in awe.

Cali walked through the aisles of the library, running her fingers over the spines of the books. Some of them were familiar, some of them she had never heard of before. She smiled and took a deep breath. She had always loved libraries, and this one was absolutely huge! She picked a few books off one of the shelves before finding a small couch where she sat down and started to read. She was aware of a few other people moving around, but didn't really take note of where they were or what they looked like.

Kaden let her pull him through the library and out into the courtyard...

Rose continued her journey through the library, looking down some of the aisles to get an idea of the organization here. It looked like they used a modified version of the Dewey decimal system. They couldn't exactly use the original as it didn't include magic.
She soon came to a small reading lounge. There were a few people milling around, some students sitting close and holding whispered conversations, and a few others who were reading. One of them looked far too familiar. She gasped when she realized who it was, then immediately slapped her hand over her mouth. Oh my god, Cali! I never expected to see her here. Hell. She turned and began to walk away, trying to act like nothing was wrong. Like she hadn't just seen an old flame, one who had dumped her. One she'd never forgotten. They weren't friends, not even close, not after that breakup. She was pretty sure Cali hated her.

She turned and began to walk away, trying to act like nothing was wrong. Like she hadn't just seen an old flame, one who had dumped her. One she'd never forgotten. They weren't friends, not even close, not after that breakup. She was pretty sure Cali hated her.
Cali looked up sharply from the volume in her hands upon hearing a person's gasp, wondering what was wrong. She then noticed the hastily retreating red-haired figure. "Rose." She said quietly, remembering the name--and of course, their entire relationship. Damn. Sometimes she really wondered whether she'd be better off if all of her relations truly were dead, as most of them were. It certainly prevented awkward run-ins, she thought with a slight smile that disappeared when she remembered their ugly breakup and the things that had been said. God, why had she done any of that? She just wanted to apologize now, but she didn't know if Rose would want to hear it. Should she get up and follow her? Try to make eye contact? Stay where she was and pretend she hadn't seen her old ex-girlfriend?
Rose heard her name on Cali's lips and shuddered. That brought back memories, some good, some not so good. She had stopped walking briefly, but kept going after just a second or two. No, she wouldn't think of her, of their time together. She had a new start here, one that didn't include anyone from her past. Not friends, and most certainly not enemies. Though she wished Cali was part of the first group instead of the second. Then she would have spoken to her without hesitation, and wouldn't be running away from her now. She sighed, bowed her head, and kept walking.
Cali sighed, leaving her books on the couch and walking after Rose. She didn't wobble in her heeled shoes, too used to walking in them after all the years. She fell into step behind the other woman, waiting a second as she thought of something to say before finally stating: "Long time no see." She looked over at Rose, brushing some of her brown and turquoise hair out of her eyes as she did so.
Rose barely paused as someone started walking beside her. A sideways glance told her that it was Cali, as she'd suspected. When the other woman spoke, Rose stopped. "Yeah, it has been a long time. You look well," she said with a shaky smile. A compliment couldn't hurt, besides, it was true. She hadn't aged a day in the decades since they parted, neither had Rose herself, she knew; she had not aged at all in the 772 years since her death and rebirth. That was why she had to keep moving, why she couldn't stay in one place for more than five or ten years.
Draco walked into the library, hoping to find a nice quiet spot to read, and had to stop. he could have sworn he had heard a familiar voice. he frowned which quickly turned to a scowl as he remembered whose that was. sounds a hint different its the same alright. he thought to himself, greatly surprised to hear the voice that he would never hear again. he pondered whether or not he should confront her, and whether or not it would be a good thing. he deeply regretted his hasty actions before, he had been younger and not as level headed as he was now.
Romulus had located a few books on Rome history, Greek mythology, western myths, an one particular book on the secrets of werecats. A few books referring to ten books in which he stacked skillfully on top of one another. Holding the books in one hand, he made his way to an nearby table. He made it to the table with ease, and sat the book stack onto the table. As he did, one of the books, the top one, fell onto the floor. The book dropping with a beatable bang. " O dear" Romulus mutter and reaches down to retrieve the fallen book.
"Thanks, you as well." Cali responded lightly. It was true, neither of them had aged a day since they'd last seen each other. Cali knew that their lifestyles had been much the same: moving around to avoid notice of their lack of aging. "So, um, how have you been?" They had parted on less than friendly terms, and Cali hoped to at least ease some of the awkwardness that she felt as they wandered through the large library.
Rose shrugged. "Alright, I guess. You?" she asked as she walked along the hall. She was extremely nervous and doing her best not to show it. Their break-up had been messy, very messy. But it had been a long time ago too, so maybe they could be friends now. She wouldn't risk anything more than that. Not again.
"Oh, I've been alright, I suppose. Same as always, right?" She said with a light smile. One thing that she could say about her seemingly endless life was that it was either very repetitive, or very, very different. And so far, things had been pretty normal, boring--nothing that Cali wouldn't expect. She just couldn't quite figure out whether that was a good thing or a bad thing. But if she could start to maybe be friends with Rose again, and start fixing some of her old mistakes...well life probably wouldn't be all that boring.
((I thought her name was Cali?))
Rose smiled a little. "I guess so. Not much excitement. Maybe there will be some here."
An unusual scent reached her nose just then. A scent she hoped to never smell again. The scent of the man - vampire? - who killed her all those years ago. She frowned and slowly turned in a circle. Slowly until she saw him, anyway. Upon seeing him, she blanched and finished her circle in a hurry. "Let's, um, go somewhere else to talk. I should have an office around here somewhere."

((*Giggles* Autocorrect will get you every time. When I finally get a smartphone, I'm turning it off. Even if I have to hack the phone to do so. ^_^ ))
Draco saw, and smelled, her fear as soon as she saw him and growled. he went to her swiftly and said, "you're not going to run from me again are you?" he grinned at her, showing his sharp fangs, and said, "so you live, and are barely human it seems." now he could smell her better and immediately noticed she smelled like fire and some kind of bird.
"Damn," Rose whispered. She turned to face him. "Of course I was going to run away from you again. You killed me once; I can't let that happen again.
"As for what I am, that is none of your business." She crossed her arms over her chest, just under her bust, seemingly unaware of how this position enhanced her already ample cleavage. At this point, she would use anything she could to avoid this... man. Or whatever he was. He smelled wrong for human, or even vampire. She couldn't place his scent and that disturbed her greatly.

"as i recall you enjoyed every moment, right up to when you stabbed me. also if i wished to kill you i wouldn't be speaking to you would i? i wanted to make amends for my youthful recklessness." he pointed avoided looking at her cleavage, though he wanted to he didn't trust himself not to see if she tasted any different. he recalled she had a pleasent spicy taste to her and he had liked it.((like to point out that his bite causes intense, sometimes too intense for some, arousal.))
Cali awkwardly looked around the library, of course she was still standing next to Rose. Despite their time together, Cali had no idea who the man Cali was arguing with was. But he seemed like a vampire, and almost smelled like one--almost. "So, um, this is weird...And awkward...um...who are you exactly?" She wasn't trying to be rude, but she wanted to help out Rose, and Cali also wanted to know what was going on.
Rose blushed brightly at his words. She liked to forget that part of it. She didn't like to remember how she'd moaned and writhed against him, even orgasmed once while he drank from her. The orgasm had disturbed her enough to give her the strength to stab him.
"Ah, uh, Cali, this is, well, I don't actually know his name, but he's the man who killed me 772 years ago. I died from blood loss and came back as the phoenix I am now."
Damn. I just told him what I am. Now he knows I can't die permanently. Son of a... witch.
"Make amends? How exactly did you intend to make amends for killing me!?"

He blinked as the elf twins started speaking in unison. He nodded in response to their directions, glancing towards the section of ancient books on the races briefly before returning his attention to them. "Thank you. You have been most helpful," he said with a small nod. That permission shouldn't be too hard to get since the Dean is my aunt. I'm sure she'll let me look at those books once I tell her what happened.
He waited while the one boy spoke to Sofia. Once he was done, Kaden leaned down to whisper in Sofia's ear. "Will you be okay by yourself, baby?"
*****
Fiona nodded; she respected his desire for privacy on some things. She wasn't about to tell him the full extent of some of her dreams either. He likely would not take some of that information well. A couple of the dreams, now that she remembered them, scared her just to think about.
She smirked at his description of Seamus after he read the text message. "You have no idea," she murmured, shaking her head. She went back to looking over the spell she'd been perusing to see if it was actually one she didn't know. The more she read, the more convinced she was that it was new to her. That made her smile. She flipped to the last spell, taking her phone out of the book and slipping it into her pocket. She scanned this spell as well, smiling a bit wider when it seemed to be another spell she didn't know.
"I'm ready. I'm going to check out all three of these books. I've found two spells I don't know in this one already. The others I can look through at some other time." She reached to touch Jasper's shoulder to draw him out of his daydream, then stood up.
