I have 2 more books left in the Borrowed Billionaire series, I didn't know there was another connected and for the life of me I can't remember Tori from Lexie's series...I might have to take a quick peek to find out.

Did you read Lexie's First Time ?
This book is about Lexi and Smith. The borrowed billionaire series is all about Lexi and the billionaire novelist series is about Smith

Dee, do you have a tablet, I have overdrive on my ipad and it makes reading a lot easier. I really don't like reading on my phone, but I do it far too often. When I look at other commuters on the train that have like the Galaxy Note phones, I am always thinking, that screen looks big enough to read on. ;)

I am getting a new phone in a few weeks and the Galaxy Note is on my short list :) It is definitely big enough to read on. I just don't know how I will look answering that thing, putting it up to me ear, LOL. It's so big! But I mostly text anyway, so I'm thinking I'd rather have it big for reading. I have a tablet but don't take it with me when I go out, it's too big and heavy. But that Galaxy phone....

Let me know if you end up getting the Note and how you like/dislike it...my phone is coming up for an upgrade and I have been seriously thinking about getting that one. I have the galaxy S3 right now, and I like s4 and note but reading on the note would be so much easier to read on and I figured I don't talk to nearly that many people and the only people who call me are for quick/short conversation if not its all texts. It's one of the reason I was thinking about getting an ipad mini, so I don't have to carry around my ipad when I commute.

I'll let you know! I have an iPhone 4 and I want something different. the Galaxy s4 is also on my list, along with the Droid Maxx. But the size of the Note is so tempting...

FYI, I don't know about the droid maxx but before Samsung I had the droid x and at work, for company cellphones we had gotten the droid 4 and we just had a negative experience with them. Out of the 2 year I had my droid, I spent the last year literally counting down days till I can get another phone and not have to pay full retail price. lol. But for all I know they have made more improvements since then.

message 414: by Ty (new)

Ty | 1943 comments I used to read on my droix X all the time (except PDFs, those suck for phones). and then I got my Google Nexus tablet... I couldn't go back. But yes, Hina - I was doing the same thing - when can I get a new phone, when can I get a new phone, when!

I currently have an S4 and looooove it. Reading isn't too bad on it, the times I was caught waiting and bored.

Originally I wanted the S4, there are so many cool things to do on it, but then Galaxy Note 3 came out and it has cool features and a big screen...:) But I got to say that Samsung (knock on wood) is making good phones, I had the unfortunate incidents with my s3, very bad luck...once I got caught in a storm, and the phone took in a lot of water and another time my water bottle in my purse wasn't capped tightly enough and spilled water on my phone but my phone still works.

⚜️XAR the Bookwyrm (xar-the-bookwyrm) Jojo, Hina, and Nadine, I have to say a huge THANK YOU! Extreme Exposure was Awesome!!! Being kinda new to the Romantic Suspense subgenre, thanks to last month's PIFM of Danger in the Shadows and The Negotiator, I am left floundering as to what would be good in the genre. Jojo's recommendation of this book did not disappoint! J. D. Robb's In Death series seemed to be more murder mystery to me than Romantic Suspense, and I had read most of that series as of a couple of years ago. By the time I abandoned it, I had a hard time keeping track of the secondary characters and the plots all seemed the same. I've picked up Heaven Can't Wait and will be reading it as soon as I possibly can! Next up is my final read for this challenge: Rock Chick. I hope I saved the best for last!

Glad you like it Victoria! Its a great series, the books just get better and better. Even though, Rock Chick also falls under Romantic Suspense, they are definitely not the same. I also gave 5 stars to Rock Chick, but it is more off color humor, not as serious etc and halfway to the book, I was pretty annoyed with the heroine and it was a very love/hate relationship with her but its still a very very good book to read.

I finished Simply Irresistible this morning and really liked it. Not sure why it has taken me so long to read this book as I owned it and it has been recommended to me many times. I loved the characters, hot male, and I've added the next one to my TBR. Thanks for the great recommendation. It's been a slow reading month but I hope to read at least one more what with Thanksgiving coming up.

Neither of these are gripping me and it is taking me forever. And I really wanted to read both of these books.. They are not bad, but IDK.. Kinda bored with them :(

message 423: by ⚜️XAR (new)

⚜️XAR the Bookwyrm (xar-the-bookwyrm) I've finished! Finished Rock Chick last night, and was torn about it. I was bored for the first 2/3rds of the book, then enjoyed the rush towards the ending. Will probably give it 3 stars overall. That makes my tally 12/13 completed, with The Princess Bride being abandoned in disgust. Thanks for all the great reads this month, Jojo!

Fran | 12278 comments Hi Karen!

I can fit it in :)

I am reading two books now and should be done by Sunday. How about starting on Monday the 25th? Or if you want to start earlier, you can read it when you want and we can chat about it around the 27th or so.

Hi Karen!

Do you still want to try and fit Acrobat in? I can start it tomorrow night. I have family coming in from out of town Wednesday through the weekend, so it might take me awhile to finish it. But I'm willing to try if you would like to read it :)

Actually Fran, that timing works great for me! I still need to finish the book I'm reading, but hopefully will get through it by sometime tomorrow, so I should be able to start tomorrow night also. I'm going to be at my sister's from sometime Wednesday until Friday afternoon, and probably won't have much reading time down there, but will then have the weekend. It might slop over into December a bit, but I can live with that!

Also listening to Divided in Death which is the one after the one you recommended for me (since I started that one in November) - but probably won't get it finished this month

Thanks for the awesome recs!!

Hina (hinaj) | 2581 comments Victoria,

I ended up finishing 2 more books, so total read this month are 3 books. I read Sarah's Lion (Lions of the Serengeti, #2) by Lizzie Lynn Lee yesterday which I gave 1 star. I was hoping the series might get better since its a new author to me, but it didn't. No real plot/storyline. Thankfully it was a short story.

I also read Smitten Image by Pam B. Morris last week, and you were right it was an interesting concept, unfortunately it was halfway into the book before things got interesting and I loved hearing reading about future Chicago. I was bored the first half of the book, though. I gave it 3 stars.

I am not going to read anything else from my list, but I have added them to my TBR, just because most of the books are part of a series and I am not trying to start a new series until next year, but concentrate on finishing up some of the series I am in the middle of right now.

Thanks for your picks!

You're welcome, Hina! Sorry that Sarah's Lion didn't turn out as you'd hoped, and I found myself feeling the same way you did about Smitten Image. Interesting concept, but the execution fell short of being really good.

I finished my 5th pick and most likely my final for the month Chocolate Covered Billionaire Navy SEAL this book was so corny I gave it 1*.

In my opinion you could tell it was written by a guy...Who else would have two women fighting over some guy that couldn't seem to stand up for himself in any situation unless he had a gun (and he was suppose to be a Navy SEAL...part-time??) and he had one of the women giving him a BJ while driving in a car, with a trucker watching through his cab window driving down the highway...it wasn't even erotic it was just bad...

I'm trying to figure out why I had it on my TBR shelf...LOL
