Sassafrass (sass-a-frass) | 4192 comments Hi Pam!

Life got in the way so I didn't get to as many picks as I wanted but I did read

Slade and Unwrapped and they were both great. I'm hoping to get Dangerous Curves Ahead next month.

I just finished my fourth PIFM book this month, Born in Fire, and really liked it. Born in Fire (Born In Trilogy, #1) by Nora Roberts . Thanks for the great pick. I liked all the lovely descriptions of the scenery and art that Roberts excels at, and loved the fiery romance. I'll definitely be reading the rest of this series at some point soon. Thanks!

I finished a second pick Wait For Me by Elisabeth Naughton and I really enjoyed it! I couldn't put it down since I started reading.
I'll start A Clash of Kings (A Song of Ice and Fire, #2) by George R.R. Martin tomorrow.
Thanks for the picks!

Jaime Mccurley (jaimemccrl4) | 76 comments Finished Allegiant (Divergent, #3) by Veronica Roth finally.. Pretty disappointed. Loved the first two books... The trilogy just didn't end great.. Oh well...

So what you're telling me is even though I liked the first two books (loved the first actually) I probably should just borrow Allegiant (Divergent, #3) by Veronica Roth from the library.

Probably.... I don't want to tell you what to do... But I finished and my first thought was "huh" and "what the heck was that?"

message 465: by Shelby (new)

Shelby (stang_lee) | 1970 comments Hey Sassafrass I managed to squeeze one more in this month, Curio. Wanted to get a m/f book in there and this fit in with some of my other challenges. I'd give it 3.5 stars. I'm not a huge fan of porn/prostitute characters and I struggled to get into this book. But I actually really enjoyed where it was headed. I liked the changes that developed between these two characters. My full review is posted here if you want to see my full thoughts. :) Thanks for the great picks this month! I've got all the others just waiting for me to have a chance to get to them.

Glad you enjoyed this one! It's one of my all time favorites. I just love the glass blowing aspects of it. :)

Hina (hinaj) | 2581 comments The challenge is coming to an end soon! I hope you guys had fun, and hopefully all the bargain and last minute shopper got a chance to make a dent in their shopping list, while the planners are already up to planning the next event. I had a blast hosting the challenge, I will put up the stats tomorrow after the end of challenge. Happy reading!!

Dee (austhokie) | 7316 comments i'm going to miss finishing my 4th book by just over an hour in the audiobook - I think that should count right? haha!

Fran | 12278 comments Hi KarenH!

I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving :)

I finished my 5th pick last night, Acrobat. I think Breann' s review of the book summed it up best, LOL. I liked parts of it and thought parts of it were unnecessary, repetitive (waggling eyebrows), and unbelievable. But yet I did enjoy some of it (Dreo) and it held my interest. 3.5* from me. I can't wait to hear what you thought of it!

Thanks for all the great picks this month! I plan on reading a few more in December :)

Fran | 12278 comments Thanks so much for hosting Hina!!

I ended up getting the Galaxy s4. I'm having fun playing with it, it's so different than the iPhone, it's going to take some getting used to. But so far I really like it. I was so torn in the store, between the s4 and the Note 3. But my teen boys pleaded with me not to get the huge phone, lol. And the s4 ended up being free with my iphone trade in, that that was a real plus :)

I think I am going to get the Note next time though.....only 2 years to wait....

Glad you liked your picks, Fran! I finished Acrobat this morning, and I pretty much agree with you (although I had to go back and read Breann's review before I commented). I gave it 4 stars, but it's a low 4...I liked the characters within the core group, could have done without some of the lesser characters, and I liked the plot but not always the execution of it. Like you, it kept my interest but it sure didn't leave me burning to run right out and read something else by the author...

We had a very nice Thanksgiving, but I'm so glad to be home and have things finally getting a little back to normal. I hope you had a good holiday weekend, too! :-)

Daffodil (daffodil--ripcranberry) | 1058 comments I also finished Wicked as They Come (Blud, #1) by Delilah S. Dawson . I really enjoyed the idea and characters, but I wanted a little more from the storyline. I'm definitely interested in reading Casper's story next.

I did, too--Nora Roberts is so good at those fantasy elements (and I could dream of being an artist in Ireland). Thanks again.

Lacy (lacy_stewart) | 1966 comments Hi, Ty!

I forgot to add that I also finished Where'd You Go, Bernadette on 11/30. I just thought it was okay and gave it 2 stars. Thanks for motivating me to finish it in time!

Thanks again for all of the rec's!
