Listopia - For 2014 Yearly Challenge

Exciting news: we're starting the 2014 challenge planning!

One of our 2014 yearly challenges will involve a Listopia list that YOU, our members, create.

Please limit yourself to adding FIVE books. You can add all five now or add them as you go. These can be any books you would like to recommend and not necessarily books you've read this year.

You can vote on as many existing books as you like (I believe Goodreads caps it at 100 votes).

Hi Kara,

How do you actually add books to the list? I selected my books but they don't appear on the list. I clicked on the tab that said (add books to the list) and when I click on books to add, it just says My Votes with they books I tried to add over on the right side of the page. They don't show up on the actual list.

You are doing it correctly. I added some books to see if it would work and I noticed my books right away all I had to do was refresh the page and I see them at the bottom of the page. What are the books you are trying to add?

My books were added. I just needed to open the list again to see them. I am looking forward to seeing what else makes the list.

Adriana, I added two books about 10 minutes ago, but I still don't see them on the list. I just used the Add To tab, saw them on the right like Jodi said, but they never showed up as far as I can tell. Fire From Heaven and The Shadow of the Torturer.

Jeri, you may need to refresh again. I see both of them on the list.

I added a book also added by someone else - is that a problem?

Not a problem, Karina--it should show up as two votes for the same book.

OK, now I see them. I was looking at the bottom, but they're somewhere in the middle.

Just added my five choices - 3 were books I read this year and added, 2 were already on the list and deserved another vote :]

I put quite a few on. They are all books I own, so I wouldn't have to search for them if they come up on a challenge.And so now I have my list made out for next year of what to read.

I added 3 of my 5 (so far) and voted for several already on the list that I've read and loved (or at least really liked.)

I like this challenge idea a lot!

It is hard to choose just 5 isn't it Alison. I added mine and deleted a few and added different ones and deleted a couple. There are just so many good books out there.

I just added my books and voted on some others. This is going to be a great challenge! Mr. Penumbra's 24-Hour Bookstore is twice on the list (#13 and #94 at the moment).

Warning, it doesn't cut you off at 5 and because it's adding the new ones to your voted on list, it's actually easy to lose track.I think I just added 6, oops

As long as you add 5 and THEN you vote for whatever you want it's fine (: The ones that are already there you can vote on up to 100 times. Hope that helps!
