SOLVED. The Man Who Brought the Inside Out [s]

This was a children's picture book that was available during the late 1970s / early 1980s in the UK. I remember the title as being something like "The Man Who Took (or Brought) the Inside Out", but this could be wrong. It was about about a man living in a house who took all his furniture out and put it on the lawn. I remember the character having a large beard!

I can't find anything about it on Google, so any help would be wonderful, thank you.

No response but it seems like the right book. The protagonist has a large beard. Moving to Solved.
