Book series Thoughts.Tell me what you think.

Do you think that the addition of this book took away from the series quality overall? I'm talking on a scale of how good the books are. Just a thought. I personally did not like this book as well as I did Angels and Demons and Da Vinci Code.

It seems the newer the book is, the worse it is. Maybe I'm just growing up - when I was 13 the Da Vinci code was awesome - but while reading Inferno I felt kind of bored. The more recent books just feel very forced, or artificial.

I found this book an improvement on "The lost Symbol", so yes it is an improvement on the series.

Even if I still consider the "Da Vinci code" a bit of stolen property.

While I was reading this book, I quite enjoyed it. Looking back now, I realize I don't remember much of it at all, so I guess it really didn't leave a lasting impression like A&D and DVC did. I don't think it took away from the series, I just like the first two books better. (And I like this more than Inferno)

Yep, agreed with all of the above. TLS was my least favorite. There were SUCH better things he could have done with the Freemasons. Inferno was better, IMO, than TLS but nowhere on par with A&D.

The first two books were incomparable! I can't compare them to any other book except other books by Dan (Digital Fortress, Deception Point) and they were pretty good. But Lost Symbol wasn't as good. Personally, I should ask is it right to compare them all? Can't we judge them without competition as sole books of the author?

Deception point and Digital fortress were his first two, and while readable, the science and action were mediocre. Brown hit his stride with A&D and TDC next, which I thought were very good. And then it was all downhill after that. I started TLS and the pseudoscience that was behind the plot was so bad I couldn't read it and I just had to stop about 1/3 through it. TLS was dreadful.

I dont like this book!! Its totally a messe and a LOT OF BULLSHIT!!!! Serious,I only read bc i like da Vinci Code, and i thought will get better. I hate and i dont like the major character!!

Wow I guess I'm all alone in that I LOVED this book. The whole intention theory completely intrigued and fascinated me! NOT too say I didn't like the first two books, I love all three, In fact if I am disappointed in any of his books its the last one, Inferno which I am just finishing. But hey every book is NOT for every reader!

I haven't read Inferno. Not so eager about it after TLS, I guess.
TLS is not bad. I could easily finished the book. It just pale in comparison, and after A&D - TDC, the repetition is obvious.

Dan Brown,I guess the most creative author I am ever came across ( at-least in my book circle) His all books have some sort of similar plot, but still it gives you something new which you could never think or imagine. A&D, DVC and now TLS, its all been mind blowing.

No character development at all, unless you'd like to believe Robert Langdon is going senile.
