If you need help then these groups are the place to ask. There are not many reasons for needing to PM a specific librarian for help. Many librarians have private profiles for exactly that reason.

Fair enough, but you can still ask your question here. An alternative would be to contact Customer Support and ask them to forward your query.

I am a GR librarian, too, and I just CANNOT ACCEPT such kind of attitude.
Good night and thanks again for listening to my problem.

It is difficult to find privacy on the Internet. Not everyone wants their every moment to be followed.

Because Internet IS NOT for privacy. :) If one wants privacy, he needs to seek it somewhere else. It is so simply. ;)
But it is OK, I just misunderstood the librarian status. I thought we were here to build the database, to correct mistakes, to help other members... My mistake.
Have a very nice Sunday!
:)

Goodreads has never made accepting messages from other librarians a requirement of being a librarian.

Dear Liam, I wanted to fix a problem I found myself while noodling around GR, and it seemed that this person who put the book data on could help me... That's all. As I wrote before MY MISTAKE, SORRY!

Your thinly veiled judgmental arrogance is actually glaringly obvious, of course the librarians want to help, but like it is stated above, there are groups for that, there is no need to bother anyone personally. Being on the internet does not actually mean you have to give up all aspects of privacy.
