Anyone else annoyed with Eadlyn?

Before I started reading, I'd heard so many bad comments about Eadlyn that I decided to try to like her. And I did it. At first she seems annoying. However, you need to put yourself in her place to understand her. When you do that, you can see how beautiful she is and how fantastic she is. You just can't judge her before reading the whole book.

YES! I don't know, I think what annoyed me most was how she viewed her selection. She just had a very negative view on it, and was even considering trying to do bad things so that people would want to leave. This could be because she has never had to live like those people do, or from the stress of everything, but it still was just super annoying to me. I was excited to have more books from this series to read, but I feel like I would have been completely fine if they left off with the last book in America's view.

Yes! I literally just posted a discussion topic on this! I think that her character did get better throughout the fourth and fifth books though. But, her character doesn't even compare to her mom's-America's-character! I understand that Eadlyn had a lot of pressure on her shoulders, but that doesn't mean that she should act so much like a brat!
