Apparently a lot of stories by Stephen King are intended/planned for the Silver Screen. Most was news to me.
I will be looking forward to some of them. Some seem "easy" adaptations that already felt movie-like when reading them. On the other hand, I cannot claim to understand the need for all the remakes (I actually liked The Stand as a movie back when). I guess that is the time we live in. Remakes seems popular.
Can only hope that any remakes will include more of the original stories than the originals.
Note: Russell Crowe as Roland Deschain? I could see that work. I could also have seen someone like Javier Bardem or Robert Patrick. I'd prefer a Jack Palance/Clint Eastwood (Sergio Leone version) kind of character, but seeing as they're dead/too old, I guess can accept someone younger ;)
