Top Books by State

In Kansas I would probably say "In Cold Blood" which I'm not a Wizard of Oz fan, but I am thinking about reading the original book and maybe even series.

They call this the most famous book set in every state. I live in New Jersey and consider myself a knowledgeable person when it comes to books, even if I haven't read a particular one. I am familiar with the author they show for NJ, (Junot Diaz), but have never read any of his works. I wonder who chose Drown to represent NJ. I would think even the Janet Evanovich series might be better known. And looking at some of the other states made me scratch my head. Clearly a very subjective list of "most famous"

I HATED The Lovely Bones, so I would not take pride in that being the best PA book. Not sure I have a replacement pick in mind, but I know there are certainly better ones out there.

Actually I want to change Kansas' to The Learning Tree by Gordon Parks.

I saw the movie and didn't remember where it took place. I'm probably going to read the book sometime since it was talked about so much if I have it at home. Will be a Little Free Library donation.
