I received this book in exchange for an honest review via Shut Up & Read.
The first few chapters peaked my interest, and held it captive! While Ms. SilverWolf spun this incredible world into life, her characters were well thought out and properly played. The magic of her words, made for an easy mental picture to form.
I loved the back stories leading up to Montayna, and her story. However, once I finished some of the secondary characters stories, I felt like I was satisfied with this part of the series, and it was time to move on to another facet of Montayna's journey.
Ms. SilverWolf has a wonderful gift with words, creating these beautiful worlds, & realms. Her characters are easy to like, to relate to, & to picture as some of your closest friends. The scenery jumps off the page, and it's easy to picture yourself watching on the sidelines.
That being said, I did find, at some points, that there may have been some unnecessary details added, some of which made the story stall.
Overall though, I think that Ms. SilverWolf has a definite talent, and I will be looking forward to reading other materials by her.
