Stephanie Jackson Hello,
I'm currently working on my third novel in two years. Well, the fourth since I'm working with my sisters on another book series.

The third (or fourth) novel I'm working on is a prequel novella for my book series (one I'm writing without my sisters) and I'm looking for an editor.

The book is contemporary/women's fiction and the story has an over-arching theme of family relationships all the while based on one non-traditional ranching family in the fictional town of Sterling, Texas.

If anyone is interested or can help point me in the right direction of an editor, please let me know. :)

I'll work with you to make your manuscript into the perfect masterpiece it deserves to be.

Erica Ellis (ericainmn) | 48 comments Hello, Stephanie!

I am a freelance editor who specializes in novels, and I would love to help you with your book. I will find all of those little errors that sneak past even the most diligent author (it is nearly impossible to edit your own work!) and help you to say exactly what you want to say in the clearest way possible.

I offer affordable rates and quick turnaround times. But not too quick! I always do a minimum of two passes through your manuscript, and I'm available after the edit to answer any questions you may have about my suggestions.

You can check out my website to see the types of novels I've worked on and to read what my previous clients have to say about my work. The address is www.ericaellisfreelance.com. You can also contact me at ericaellismn@gmail.com.

I look forward to hearing from you! Good luck with your book, whichever editor you choose.

Sincerely,
Erica Ellis

Bethany | 8 comments Stephanie,

Sounds like an interesting book (I love books that revolve around family relationships). If you would like a free sample edit and cost estimate, you can send me a sample chapter at bfbrengan@gmail.com.

If you are interested in help with story structure and content, you can send me the full manuscript. This allows me to give you suggestions on plot and character development. (I'm happy to sign a nondisclosure agreement if that makes you more comfortable.)

Best of luck! (Erica and Melissa also seem like great editors.)

Stephanie Jackson Thank you everyone for your responses. I should have mentioned in my first posting, though probably out of the ordinary, I'm looking for someone that wouldn't mind editing after i finish a chapter; mainly because the novella is going to be short (somewhere between 10-15 chapters) and I'm writing it around my school/work time where I expect it too be out Winter 2013.

However, I am going to look into everyone's suggestions, just in case I get a great amount of motivation and end up writing the whole thing faster than I expected. I really appreciate everyone's responses. I'll be looking over all of them in the next few weeks. :)
