~ I personally don't understand the Creators' choice of making Minho the team leader. Don't get me wrong. I have nothing against him. It's just that it always seemed like Thomas would be the perfect choice.

Chapter-10 (view spoiler)[~ How. Are. The. Creators. Doing. This??????? Things are vanishing one instant and others are appearing the next instant. Can this book make sense for once?!

Chapter-30 (view spoiler)[Minho is not being a good leader. He REALLY needs to cut down the arrogance. And Jorge too. I can't stand their arrogance!

How much slang do we have to get in this book?! "Hermano"?! "Muchacho"?! Looks like normal English isn't good enough for Jorge.

I don't think I'll ever like a single female character in this series. Who kisses a guy she just met like five minutes ago?! Oh, right. There is Brenda to do this. :-\ (hide spoiler)]

~ So now we have slogans all over the city saying "Thomas, you're the real leader". Then what is even the point of that tattoo on Minho's neck saying that Minho is the leader?! Trust James Dashner to make things more complicated with every passing chapter. (hide spoiler)]

Up to chapter 24: (view spoiler)[ The banishing of Ben seemed really cruel. I know what he did was wrong but he was clearly ill so the punishment seemed a bit harsh. I hope they don't punish Thomas too much as although he broke a rule he was able to save the other boys. I am finding this story really interesting and I can't wait to see what will happen in the rest of the book. (hide spoiler)]

I'm really enjoying this book, I'm glad I've finally got round to reading it.

Chapter 40: (view spoiler)[ Things are getting really interesting. Gally has been taken away by the Grievers and the Map Room has been set on fire. They've discovered that the Maze's are codes and solving the code might be their way out. I'm guessing they don't get out or they end up somewhere else considering that there are another two books in the series. (hide spoiler)]

It took me awhile to get used to the language that they use as they use made up words like shank and klunk and at first I found this really confusing. World Building (view spoiler)[ normally i hate when you just get trickles of information but with this book it just added to the mystery of the whole story. I loved the idea of the maze they way it moved each night that must have been so freaky to deal with for the boys (hide spoiler)]

Characters (view spoiler)[ Agnes, Minho, Alby, Gally, Thomas, Ben, Newt all interesting and all so different you can't help but wonder what made them choose each one. Then to throw in Teresa that was brilliant (hide spoiler)]

I have had a look online at pictures from the movie of them and they look more like spiders than what was described in the book :( I did feel early on in the book that Tom would have to be stung by one in order to remember as much as he could. Overall i loved the whole story I'm not sure about the made up language though as they remembered the English language so i don't know why they had to make up worlds like that.
