I finished Love Overdue by Pamela More I this weekend and simply loved it. It's a great small town, character-driven romance with a wonderfully drawn cast of characters. The ending has been rage-inducing for some, but I think it works. (It's HEA but ends abruptly.)

Just finished Season for Scandal. I didn't have high expectations because I don't like gambling and the heroines behavior at the start was really unappealing. But I ended up really enjoying it

Manda I found the ending a little abrupt but I did feel like she didn't need a he said she said scene
I wish that she had told him rather than him just finding out thought

I'm reading it this week also. I like the scene where she removes her gloves in front of the servants and he doesn't know what to think.

I read that, too. I really love it.

So, thanks to Janga's puzzler I bought the first book in Virginia Kantra's Dare Island trilogy,Carolina Homeand OMG I loved it! I devoured it and then promptly bought the second one (from the puzzler) Carolina Girl. These are fabulous books that remind me of Nora Roberts' Chesapeake series, but with writing that is all Kantra's own. I especially love her heroes. Happy sigh. Now if only I didn't have to wait until March for the third one!

Kym | 206 comments Getting into a Julia Quinn state of mind by reading/listening to the Bevelstoke series and then the first two in the Smythe-Smith Quartet. I'll be all set for The Sum of All Kisses!

Which ones, Marnie? I'm a huge Hunter fan!

The Rothwell brothers and the Fairbourne quartet, I am just waiting for the latest in that one, The Counterfeit Mistress. I have really enjoyed them. The men are a bit, well, a lot arrogant and domineering but the ladies somehow always get the better of them, I love that.

I just finished The Counterfeit Mistress a couple of weeks ago:) It was fun. And you're right about her heroes! I love the way the heroines turn the tables on them.

Yes, that's what I liked too, Manda. Was the Counterfeit Mistress good?

I enjoyed it. Was a bit different for Hunter since the heroine was French. The banter between the hero and his pals was hilarious:)

I agree about the banter. Also her characters can feel very remote but these did not.

Manda, I am dying to read Marielle and Alban's story.I too love the way the men have a go at one another, in the nicest way of course. The only one I didn't like overly much was Elliot, I thought he was unnecessarily rough on Phaedra at first.
