There's so many! He mentions the Mojave Desert and areas near my hometown, China Lake (or Ridgecrest) in many of his books. I'd love to know how much time he's spent here and when. Or who his favorite character is of all his "creations".

Why did Dean write under so many different names and how did he choose them?
The first Dean Koontz book I ever read was Lightning and I became an instant fan. If D.K. had access to a time machine-where would he go and why?
Everyone here knows I have a checklist for Dean Koontz. I have over 100 books on that list.Did Dean Koontz know he was going to be an author of over 100 books when he started publishing novels back in 1968? Will we ever see a rerelease of any of his older novels that are not in print at the moment? What was his favorite scene that he ever wrote?
Both Christopher Snow and Odd Thomas are very likeable young men, my answers to those "If you could have dinner with a fictional character, who would you choose to meet?" questions. I know Odd Thomas' story is still ongoing, but whatever became of Christopher Snow?
Curious to know what your trick is to make your stories plausible? Whereas other author's can take the same basic storyline and make it twist into the realm of unreal, but yours has the possibilities of being true by the end of the book. This is why I've been a loyal fan for years, and you dominate (& inspire) my entire personal library.
Koontz has been my favorite author for years now. I don't only love his sci-fi and suspense but I especially love how he ties in dogs among his books. Was there any specific moment or experience that formed his special bond and love for canines and what influences him to include that passion within his books?
I would love to know from Mr Koontz when his fascination with sci-fi and supernatural things began? Was there any one incident or occurance that has led to his amazing array of storylines and fantastic ideas?
I would love to know what other types/genres of novels would he like to consider writing in besides supernatural, horror, and suspense.
I'd love to know how he comes up with his fascinating characters. Are they planned out before the novel starts, or do they just come to him?
My number one qustions is this: Dean, will you PLEASE release another short story collection? Please?Loved Strange Highways so much!
Dean Koontz is my favorite author! i was wondering: How does he come up with such terrific endings to his books? Does he write an outline for each book he writes, or does he let the story tell itself?
Dean Koontz has been my favorite author for many years. I have a question about his last book Deeply Odd. In that book, there were several minor interesting characters that seemed to have their own unique story that was not told. Does Dean have any future plans to tell their story?
Is Odd Thomas going to meet Chris Snow by chance? For some reason I have been getting the feeling that they are going to make an appearance in the same story, soon. Just curious.
Are we ever going to get another Chris Snow book? The last one ended rather vaguely.
I've been a fan of yours for years and I've always admired the way that you incorporate animals, namely golden retrievers, into your books. They are such good people (better than people could ever be). My question is: "Has it always been golden retrievers for you, or were there any other kinds of dogs before Trixie that stole your heart?"

I would want to ask Dean if he could change any of his books, which books he would rewrite and also which authors does he himself read. Particularly I am darned curious about his thoughts on Stephen King books.
Does he actually practice Catholicism? And does he like Stephen King-has he ever met him and does he read his books-which ones? Why have I never seen a photo of Gerta?

Well, Dean got him a new head of hair and then he started living with Golden Retrievers. Maybe Gerda only needs the Golden Retrievers to stay young.
Whenever we had guest speakers in grade school and there was a Q&A section at the end, someone would always ask what the person's favorite pizza place is. So Dean, what is your favorite pizza place? (Assuming you ever see this question.)
I'd actually like to see everyone's questions answered. Hopefully Dean will keep all of them, and answer them along the way in his blog, videos and various notes to us. Even better, how about another book on the art of writing? He wrote one or two of those back in the day, as I recall.
For myself I would like to ask if Dean ever considers going back to secondary characters, and expanding on their lives, perhaps in short stories or one shots? I particularly loved Danny Jessup, Odd's friend with osteogenesis imperfecta from _Forever Odd_. Like with my own characters, I imagine him continuing to live his life when no one's looking, and perhaps appreciating a look back now and again from the author who created him.
And Gerda is lovely!
Probably like everyone else, I keep thinking of more questions I'd ask him, but if the limit is only one...{sigh}. I loved the pizza question from JS, that was a good one!
I'd like to know what is up with the Odd Thomas movie. Will it ever come out in a theater near me? Any chance it might go directly to DVD? I'm still looking forward to and excited about seeing it.
What was your favorite book as a child and why?
Mr. Koontz :Most critics say that your weakest point is that you keep on repeating yourself on each novel you write; the main characters, most of the time if not always, have a tragic past (abusive parents, tragic deaths, etc.), the main characters fight against the government, conspiracies, main adversaries with serious mental disorders, and the most cruel thing to accuse a novelist - that you're writing circles around Stephen King. Still, many readers all around the world are fascinated by your stories (they are excellently-written, as for some, I suppose) and of course, by your characters.
If you would bother to satisfy my curiosity, I would like to ask you: How are you going to justify yourself, given all these matters I proposed?

First, I think what you have to say is untrue but anyway WHY would Mr. Koontz have to JUSTIFY himself to you or anyone for that matter?

I received mine a few days ago, and I loved it from beginning to end! It's wonderful, like a bracing drink of ice-cold water after the rich stew that his other books can be. I can't really tell you anything, this book has to be read, the first time anyway, with no spoilers. I'm already on my second pass, just to enjoy it again!

I'm glad you enjoyed it better than I did. I loved everything but the final 35 pages. Curious... are you a very religious person? I have a theory that this will make all the difference whether someone is going to enjoy the book from beginning to end like you did.
Kimberly and Dusin, I am having a bit of trouble following the conversation ... which book is the "it" you are describing. Here I am anxious to read it, when I don't even know which "it" I am salivating over.
