I don't think so; sounds cute. I saw some Star Wars ones that were way cute.

Did a little book shopping and got A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms by GRRM, Smilers Fair by Rebecca Levene and Now and Forever by Ray Bradbury. Also got a nice collectors edition of Riverandom by JRR Tolkien
Might have bought it due to your and Rinn's enthusiasm.
Cover is really nice and it was only 5 euro in the book shop today

Nice find with thud , I had a signed copy of it valued at £130 so definitely worth getting aside from how good a book it is. I live Vimes reading Wheres My Cow? in it.

Wow, nice find there, Paul!
Also I didn't know you had a blog - I feel bad :(
My most recent purchases were Six of Crows and The Skull Throne - which arrived today, apparently Amazon now deliver on a Sunday?

Have you tested out the new crochet book, Freya?
I am a knitter, but need to learn crochet. I'd like to do a granny squares blanket. I am also knitting a sweater and have come to a portion of the neck that calls for a crochet edge, so I need to learn for that alone.

I've been getting stuff from Amazon on Sunday, too. It is messing with my sense of order in the universe.

I walked into the bookstore, swearing to myself that I was going to be good and only buy books for my nephew and my husband...
And there was The Dinosaur Lords now in paperback, with a quote that said, "Jurassic Park meets Game of Thrones."
-_-
I bought it.

I meant to Jessica, but I got distracted by reading and lino print making (so addictive!). I would love to make a jumper, but I'm not very good at following patterns, so I'm a little nervous of something like that!

No worries Rinn

I will definitely post a review once I read it. I'm thinking after I finish Six of Crows and my book club book, that one is next. I can only resist dinosaurs for so long.

It's garbage, I gave it up after like 50 pages.

I was so disappointed because it just sounded so awesome and starts with an interesting dinosaur battle and then, it goes into a whole bunch of political crap and I never made it back to the dinosaurs again.

Peter Pan, A Spell for Chameleon, Magician: Apprentice, Stranger in a Strange Land, The Dragonriders of Pern and Heir to the Empire.
I am very happy!

A good deal Veronica! :)

I think that's the one I listened to recently, the anniversary edition - if so, Neil Gaiman reads the interludes himself which is a treat!

Awesome!
The other day I was in Forbidden Planet (I know, expensive), and found The Sandman, Vol. 5: A Game of You for £5.99 (down from £14.99), and Agatha H. and the Airship City and Agatha H. and the Clockwork Princess for £1.99 each (instead of £6.99 each).
Nice finds Fannie! Have you read Pern before?

Didn't read it, but it was on my trl for a while.

I almost bought that yesterday, but instead found Lord Foul's Bane at a local library's used book shop for $0.50 and a book that I can't remember the name of about a guy getting an ancient vampire to help him get revenge for his dead girlfriend for $1.00 (will update with specifics)
I just read Assassin's Apprentice and book Royal Assassin and they were both fantastic. Currently reading #3 assassins quest and off to a great start.

I have liked all of Richard K. Morgan's sci fi.

Grabbed used copies of Eric and Men at Arms by Pratchett, and Ship of Magic and Ship of destiny by Robin Hobb

Yes it will be adapted into a tv series for Netflix.
In my home there are three new additions to the bookshelf. Fantasy book The Dwarves from Markus Heitz, Fantasy/Historical Fiction book Swords of Good Men from Snorri Kristjansson and Historical Fiction book Under the Eagle from Simon Scarrow.

I hate that - it seems to happen to me 50% of the time I order used books on Amazon.
Tons of pen markings throughout and they call it 'Like New'? C'mon. It's making me leery of ordering used books on Amazon at all. I know I can complain and return it or get restitution when that happens, but what a nuisance to have to keep doing it.
