How about one geared toward the season?
Tried & True Thanksgiving & Christmas: Top 200 Recipes, from Allrecipes
If anyone is interested, Harper Collins is sponsoring a giveaway on Facebook. They're giving you the chance to win a signed library of all of Ree's (the Pioneer Woman) cookbooks:https://www.facebook.com/morrowcooks?...
I'd like to nominate New Cook Book Celebrating the Promise, Limited Edition. I have it at home and it has some great recipes in it. :)
Better Homes and Gardens New Cook Book has the same recipes as the book above (except for the pink section at the beginning of the book). So, if the above cookbook is not available at libraries, you could try for this one.

My library system has five different publication dates, and if we're going to us this, we should all try to get the same edition. I would imagine that the recipes included would vary from edition to edition.
You're welcome. I know my library didn't have the pink one, but they have the red one that coincides with it.
I'm not going to be able to participate because of our kitchen remodel, but this is a book that started me learning to cook. How to Cook Without a Book: Recipes and Techniques Every Cook Should Know by Heart by Pam Anderson
I don't know if its too late but these are the two I use most All Recipes Dinner Tonight and Best Recipes of the Great Food Companies
I'm going to start creating the poll for this one and will probably add another cookbook to the list.
Better Homes won, woo. I don't know if I have that edition but I'll either look for it at my library or just see if my version has the same recipes as what others post.

Now I just have to search the recipes again :D
