I'm looking for a book I heard about on a podcast from the UK a few months ago. It was about the minutes leading up to an explosion in a neighborhood, I think. Has anyone else heard of this?

Was the explosion caused by terrorism/bomb, electrical accident, oil/gas, other?

Was it a graphic novel? There's a graphic novel called Whatever Happened to the World's Fastest Man? Volume 1, from the UK, that was about a man who can stop time at will, and he ends up stopping time and using basically his entire life moving people away from the site of an upcoming explosion, one by one.

Hi,

Adult novel, I believe the explosion was a terrorist act but not sure. To my knowledge it was not a graphic novel. I want to say the podcast was either from the BBC (Books and Authors) or The Guardian Books podcast, but a search of their feeds has got me nowhere so far.

Was this a thriller, science fiction, etc? Was the book new (at the time of the podcast)? Do you remember why they were discussing the book (reviewing it, comparing it to something else, etc)?

They Dragged Them through the Streets: A Novel This book was published March 2013.

I think it was a new book just being reviewed. The thing I remember was that it kind of slowed down time, describing things second by second from different people's points of view. To the best of my knowledge, it would probably be classed as a thriller/suspense novel, but not sci-fi.

The Last Minute This book sounds like it, but this is a young adult novel.
