She is definitely in a special class in HR. That is where i prefer her...but I also prefer HR to CR.
There is a lot of variance in her books. But she seems like bad heroes that need rehabilitation. She does a good job differentiating her storylines.

Your so funny. I haven't read the first two. Although my son has. I'm surprised he hasn't been bothering me to get the third one yet. I'm sure it will happen soon.I keep meaning to read this as the author is from the town where I work. Vernon Hills, Il. I keep hoping she'll do a book signing close to us so my son and I could meet her. That would be cool. >>Enjoy - hope it's good.
BTW - I'm a total suburb girl (Northwest of Chicago) - born and raised. Never had a desire to live in "the big city". Fun to go down and play tourist though!!
Hmmm let's see I have several #2's on deck or a #6 on deck, I think I have #5 too. I'm ready to read with the next roll!!

you are right...I think I will go and look at my TBR pile. Maybe I can work on cleaning up series, instead of starting new ones.

I've read several of hers. Some are definitely better than others. I haven't read Monica McCarty but I have read Erin McCarthy - Full Throttle series. I really liked all of the books in the series.

I rolled the die and it was a 4. So we are on space 25 and have to read a book that's #2, #5, or #25 in a series or the alternate item: Cover Color Black (please note the cover must be at least 50% of the color). Team 7 - Se7en Deadly Sins

I liked Rainshadow Road but didn't love it. The Wallflower series was the same way. For some reason, I just couldn't connect with the characters.
I'm gonna go with
book 2 of the series@ Debbie thanks for the input on Kleypas & I'm glad you're liking the Shifters Unbound series
@ Ezi I'm on book 3 for Riley
@ Megan anxious to get to Alleigant huh?
I have a book #2 and #5 to choose from. I want to see if one of them will work for the words tomorrow. Will let you know which one I go with then.

I can't start a series until I finish a series, that has been my rule this year and it's worked great for me. I'll probably finish/catch up with 2 longer series next month which will allow me to start 2more.

Interesting. i was in doggy heaven with the Wallflowers. I haven't read Rainshadow Road yet because I wanted to finish LK's HR series before continuing with her Contemporary stuff.
Ok. I am stalling because I've heard the contemporary stuff isn't as good as the HRs.

read it:)
I'm currently listening to
@Pat: Book 2 was my favorite in that series with JA SAare. I really hate when authors take longer than a year for the next book. (*ahem P. Briggs on Alpha & Omega, Stacia Kane on Downside Ghosts)
@Debbie: I will add that book to the series I started but haven't finished.
@Melissa : Wakey, Wakey mommy :D

Thumbnail Review:Rhiannon brings home the adage: Actions have consequences. After making a deal with a demon, that she was warned to never do, Rhiannon finds herself 101years into the future. Her first thought is to let Disco know his debt has been paid, but a funny thing happened on the way to The Razor (club). Absolutely nothing is the way Rhiannon remembers it. Vampires are ruling and humans are hiding, Disco's debt has now become hers and the years have changed her friends and not necessarily for the better.
While a great read on some levels, this was not the read I needed it to be. Ultimately, what should have been an extremely quick and very fun read for me, did not turn out that way. It surpassed good but didn't reach great.
Nice job Pat! Sorry it wasn't as good as you were hoping for.I'm going with a #2 in a series. Should be done by tomorrow

This is the second book of the series and I am quickly falling in love with all of the characters. I have finally found another favorite author! Although so far, this series does not have to be read in order, it does reference other main characters from book 1, which is really cool. I loved the interaction between Andrea and Sean, even though I wanted to shake some sense in her sometimes. Once you read the book and understand her story, it makes perfect sense why she is so dominant. I like how she stands up to those that are in a higher class/order than her and does not back down. This really brings her character to life. The entire book I was rooting for this two, especially Andrea, who was an underdog – literally speaking!
I thought this book was even better than book 1. While I loved Liam – Sean’s brother – I much preferred Sean who was more gentle and did not try to steer his mate away. I highly recommend this series and can’t wait to get started on book 3.
Roll 6: 4, Moving to Space #25
Book: Embraced By Darkness by Keri Arthur
(Riley Jensen/The Guardian Series, Book 5)
Finished: October 25
Rating & Review: ★★★. I didn't enjoy this one as there was no Quinn. But the story is about the same. this is the first time we have had major contact from the pack where Riley and Rhoan were kicked out. That was definitely interesting.
Riley was contacted by the pack alpha for help investigating disappearances of werewolf women. As Riley refused, the alpha Blake threatened to kill Riley's mother, so Riley took the case. It led them to a club named Mirror Image, where twins were hunting shifters for fun.
With that goin on, Kellan, asked Riley to go exclusive with him, which made Riley a little nervous. Can Riley let go off Quinn and take that leap with the alpha who so desperately wants her? Riley doesn't know, but it's clear that things can't continue the way they have. So Riley has to make a choice.
this book seemed to be a transitory book where there was some closure on past pack business for Riley & Rhoan, and also on her relationship with Kellan. It opened up other doors, so I look forward to the next book which I hope to see Quinn coming to claim what is his!

Nice job Ezi and Debbie!Yippee - slow day at work so I read over half my book ~ don't tell anyone. I should hopefully finish tonight or early tomorrow and post my review. Must say both MC's are annoying me.
I'm 20% in my book, decided to go with Twice Promised, but I plan on reading a lot tonight and will hopefully finish it :)

Review: So this second in the series is Hop and Lanie's story. Let me just say while I love KA books I was not looking forward to Hop's book due to stuff from Tack and Tyra's book. That being said when you find out what really went down - wow his ex wife was a total bitch. Then you begin to understand he's not a total ass. Granted - that does not occur until about 75% into the book and is not "freely shared" shall we say. Lanie is one messed up chick with a whole lot of throwing drama in her. She hasn't gone back into the dating saddle since her ex - fiance got her kidnapped, shot and he was killed approx 7 yrs ago. She decides she wants to proposition Hop for one night of straight up no complication no strings attached sex. Shocker - that is not what she ends up with. Hop decides he's not done with her after one night and so sets us off on their journey. Lanie aggravated me on so many levels. She has the bad habit off opening her mouth and letting the first thing come out instead of maybe asking a question. She has a dysfunctional family along with crap from her childhood that she should have dealt with a long time ago. For all those KA readers this on reminds me of "For You" (which is not a fave of mine at all) in some respects - where stuff has happened and we put our head in the sand for way too many years. Hop - as usual total badass alpha biker dude who can be a total pain in the ass. Then there is the 'friends' who mean well but spill crap they don't know anything about but feel the need to share anyway. This is one of the plot lines I tend to not like but she has this in a lot of her books. Anyway - all in all I enjoyed it more than I thought I would based on whose story it was.
Wow that was more long winded than I thought it would be,lol

Not sure who she will do next - you don't really get a big glimpse at any of the other guys in this one and no girl stands out either. You do get to see Elvira in both of these but she is dating a cop. She is a total hoot but I wonder if a whole book about her would be too much....not sure. Still love her.

I'm reading the three series and the ghosts & reincarnation series by her right now. i'd have to finish off one of those first. eventually I'll get to chaos and the burg. and I am so anxious for the next entry in the Colorado Mountain series which may jump to the top of the heap
I'm excited for Jagged too :D I have to finish the ghost/reincarnations series. Figure I'll read #3 when we get to the thirties for this. Was going to wait for the fifties for Jagged.
I haven't started the three series yet

Twice Promised by Maggie Brendan

REVIEW:
The writing on this book was all right, not great or good just all right, but the reason I'm giving it such a low rating is the characters were just horrible! For a book sold in the Christian fiction genre the way the characters behaved was so opposite of that and there were no repercussions for it. What happened may have been meant to be amusing, but I just found it sickening and very unbelievable. Any shred of respect I had for the characters in the beginning was gone and I just couldn't wait to be done with the book. I can't really say what the reason was without giving away key details and, in case you plan on ignoring my review and reading it anyway, I don't want to spoil it for you. However, if you'd like to know what it is just ask me and I'll let you know.
I don't recommend Twice Promised at all and am dreading having to read the next book in the series...which I received to review.

Good to know, I'll have to give it a try. I actually "purchased" it awhile ago, there are so many books free that I have probably close to a thousand on my Kindle - no way I'll be able to read them all! :)
