" why didn't you say anything earlier", he asked.
"Because everything hadn't caught us yet..."
" well it's only a matter of time", he sighed.
She sighed and fell back onto the cement. "I'm tired. Ow."
He walked over to lay next to her and looked up at the star.
" it's quite a sight isn't it", he said as sloppy walked over.
"It's like the first night," she said, "When they came."
" yeah.... Wasn't that just a few days ago", he asked.
" no.... Like exactly the same", he said sitting up.
" why hasn't the moon changed", he said squinting at it.
He watched the moon silently for a moment..... And then the moon exploded into large chunks.
((..... Tada?))Dave jumped back, cursing.
" the moon.... It's split apart..... It it blew up", he yelled.
" do do you think the monsters did it@, he asked wordiedly.
"I- I don't know!" She grabbed his arm, terrified.
" we-we're all dead", he said gasping for air.
Dave started to cry, and sloppy yipped worriedly.
She cried forlornly. "We really are just waiting to die..."
" how come we couldn't be taken from the beginning", he cried out.
Sloppy whined as she rubbed against them.
She pushed away and sat on the floor. "Here, Sloppy." She kept crying. "Are we the last two people on earth?"
" their's bound to be more, we can't be", he said sniffling. Sloppy just kept rubbing against her.
" we...... We're done", he said as sloppy bured more.
He cried along with her till he passed out.
She slept next to him, hugging Sloppy and snuggled up next to him.
She woke up early the next morning, and ate some twinkies.
Dave turned in his sleep, as sloppy relieved her self a few feet away.
Sloppy had stopped and was yipping in protest.
She jumped off and shook her body as if to whip the water droplets off her.
