My name is Vivian Amis. I love reading and writing non-fiction/self help books on spiritual development.
Excited to be here : )

I didn't know about this group so I did the challenge alone last year.
Hope to have more fun discovering new books with all of you this year.

I'm Monica. Architecture student with too less time for reading. Even so, i am trying my best. My 2015 reading challenge is 50 books. So, wish me luck.
All the best wishes for the new year.

I wish everyone an amazing 2015 x

im becci, i love reading during my free time and finding new and old books that spark my imagination

Happy New Year folks! :)

Wishing everyone a Happy New Year!:)x

I've been reading since age 3 and have yet to stop. I look forward to expanding my horizons again this year.

I enjoy historical fiction a lot but am open to different genres. On the nonfiction side I'm doing a lot of soul searching lately and am enjoying things that help me with my journey into middle age.
Please feel free to say hello. Next to reading, my fave thing is making new friends.

I'm Beky. Just joined, hoping to read 26 books this year (1 every fortnight) as I am also studying/working and finishing an honours thesis. Love reading - looking forward to getting some good suggestions.

Too bad I can't count the original content and fanfiction I read online, I could double my challenge since I read far more of it than published content.

I'm Jun. my reading goal is 80-thought 100 was a little ambitious. I love young adult contemporary and fantasy, but I'm up for reading basically anything! I am currently reading the Scorch Trials by James Dashner!

I'm going for 90 books this year but I wouldn't be surprised if I end up reading more, and I'm also probably going to take a look at all the other challanges going around and see what's going on there. I seem to gravitate towards YA/fantasy/real-world literary fic but in practice there isn't really a whole lot that I won't consider.
This turned out really long didn't it, sorry about that I get nervous with new people and things more easily than I should and I don't always have a good sense of what's relevant or not. With all that out of the way I can't help thinking that I'm going to enjoy this :D

Please jump right in and if you have any questions, let us know!

Ive always wanted to write myself but i lack commitment to projects. Im currently reading your writing coach to help me with that. Im also doing a 50 book challenge this year. Which may be difficult as some of the books are from a song of fire and ice so i will just need to read at every single waking second!
Hi. I'm Sharon (known as Harry). I've set myself a target of 115 books for 2015.

I love to read but for the last ten years or so I have had trouble finding time and energy to do so. I fall asleep after a few pages.
I like primarily non-fiction, avoid romance novels, like historical fiction, and usually prefer women characters. I don't think I'm an academic reader and sometimes don't like novels receiving critical acclaim. (Sorta like the movies nominated for Oscars--I usually don't like those either.) For instance, I didn't care for Good Lord Bird. I did like Life after Life and really liked the Sisters Brothers.(Tournament of Books books.)
I used to read about 100 books a year (Ludlum, Grisham type books) but funny thing is, I barely remembered them after I was done. Once or twice I bought a book for the second time and didn't realize until after a few pages that I'd already read the book. Making a record is one reason I love GoodReads.
Last year, I read 59 books and the year before 40 books. Last year was hits and misses. The year before was a lot more hits. I'm signing up for this year's GoodReads challenge for 35 books. I had the same goal last year and I couldn't believe it but I felt pressure to meet the goal. Ended up meeting in July. Now I know I can make 35. I'm looking forward to some great ones.
I have a list of "want to read" a mile long.
I belong to a book club. Sometimes I get some surprise exposures to different books but most of the time, the selections are from the "best of" lists. Which I don't mind at all. The books are on the "best of" lists for a reason.
I'm currently reading "Orphan Master's Son" now. I also have an audio book going for my commute to work. (Over half my books are now read in audio. I check them out from the library so usually the current big hits aren't available. More often than not I am pleasantly surprised with my audio choices.)
So that' about it for me. Looking forward to participating in the group!
