Hiya, Team Caps! Thanks for volunteering to guide your team through a round of BookShelf Bingo! Your job, should you choose to accept it, will require a few things:
1 ~ Be our go-to person should we have any questions about your team
2 ~ Organize your teammate's weekly reads for each shelf/category so that the BSB Ninjas can quickly and easily verify and approve your stamp request(s)
3 ~ Encourage and motivate your team (you may also ask to borrow Judithe's whip whenever necessary)
4 ~ Post regularly to ensure your team is communicating and on track each week (Send them a PM and friendly poke if they haven't posted at least once a week, noted their book choice, and/or appear to have dropped out of webspace)
5 ~ Send us a PM (Steph, Sandra or Judithe) should you need us for any reason throughout the game

Has anyone played Bookshelf Bingo before? I'm new to this. Sounds fun.
I've played a few rounds. I can handle being captain if everyone else is a newbie.The only team name that pops into my head is Lean Mean 13.
I will be in NYC all day tomorrow so I might not see the shelf announcement until late or even Thursday morning. If I think about it I will try to at least look at the shelf so I can think about what I'll read.
OK some name ideas: something to do with Freddie Kruger or Friday the 13th?

Hi all. I have played twice before but it has been awhile. Mary, I am good with you wearing the captain hat. Thank you. I like Bakers Dozen. Nobody has mistaken me for lean and mean. (OK, maybe mean...). Any name is fine with me

I have chosen Mark of the Demon
for my Free Space read. I picked it from Option 2 - from SOS - Best Urban Fantasy series.
It looks like we are about the only ones without a team name. My suggestions are Lucky 13 or Black Cats.
Hi! I'm back from New York. Saw the shelf. That's one of the shelves I didn't get to look at so I need to go through and find something. Looks like Baker's Dozen has the most likes.

I did send a message to Lisa to ask her to check in and let us know if she's picked a book or not yet. I did that yesterday morning. I see that she came on after to rate books. So not sure what is going on there. Hopefully she will check in soon.
Hi Mary, I did not check in because we have had severe lightning storms and flooding in my area and I have not had power for the last two days. I did not want to over task my phone. I had trouble posting with the app. I thought I had the week to check in and then get my book read or I certainly would have tried harder to post.

I may be one of the last people on the planet to read this series. It appears that this series will follow the ever popular formula of a group of super-hot (anti) heroes that are flawed and trying to hold onto any scrap of humanity. All they need is the love of a good and average woman to make them whole. It feels a bit similar to the Christine Feehan series.
The book was a slow start for me. It took a while for me to get all the players sorted out. I think that had I not borrowed this book from the library I may have given up and started a new one. However, I eventually got sucked in.
I assume this is the story of our first couple-Wrath and Beth. Soon to be followed by the rest of the Dark Crew. There are elements of cheesiness (like the very descriptive names and some of the urban lingo) that had me giggling out loud. Oh, and the music choices {{shaking my head}}! This book will be like a time capsule in a few years. Similarly, I feel the same way about the first Anita Blake novels with her polo shirts and popped collars. It's the cheese that makes this book fun.
I will give the next book a go. I'm curious about finding out more about the bad guys and who or what we are actually fighting. My guess is that this book was a set-up and the series continues to improve. There are so many fans out there.. they can't all be wrong! :)

Lisa, sounds like you had one of those weeks. At least with a blackout you couldn't do much else except read. I am starting my book today, but should have it finished easily by Wednesday.
It was a doozy Cheryl. I had to read real books! Almost like camping..lol. I missed my Tablet.
I have a hard time reading print now that I am hooked on my Kindle.
Lisa, I added the cover for you, presuming you listened to the audio edition. Hope the lightning has gone. I have to switch everything off if there is lightning around so I totally understand. We've lost electronics in the past so I now play it safe.
I'm half way through my Strong Heroine book, it's an audio, and a I should finish tonight or tomorrow. Will depend on how long I can stay in cleaning mode. I haven't started my free space book yet but will start that soon. I like to try and get that one early in the game. Seems especially important now that it's required in every possible winning pattern.
Wow this team is quiet. I ended up going kayaking last night and so didn't finish this week's shelf book. I did however, finally start my free space book. I plan to finish the Strong Heroine book before the next shelf call. I think I'm 3/4 through the audio.eta: oops. Just realized that I mixed my books up. It's the free space one that I am almost done with and the Strong-heroine on that I am lagging behind.
I have about an hour to go to finish my Strong Heroine book. I had planned to read last night but ended up with visitors who didn't leave until late. (It is rude to read when you have visitors, right? I did consider it, but they would probably interrupt my reading.)I am considering changing my Free Space book to an audio as I usually take 2-3 weeks to finish an audio because I only listen whilst I'm driving. I just have to decide on which audio I am going to pick.
By chance, I have timed it just right that I will be ready to start my next book when tomorrow's shelf book is called.

I enjoyed this book so much more than the first. Sara has matured and is coming to terms with her unique abilities. I loved the secondary characters – especially Nikolais, Chris, Roland and Tristan. There is plenty of action and intrigue though I figured out who the traitor was early on, but there were other surprises that I did not see coming. I loved the ending and how it leads on to a new adventure while tying up all the loose ends. Can’t wait for the next book!
For the Bloody Mess shelf, I have chosen

Sure can if it meets one of the free space requirements. Ugh. I usually finish my books before the next shelf is called but I am behind this week. I'm about half-way through my Strong-heroine shelf and almost done with my Free Space book.
Not sure what I'm going to read for this week. I have a couple of books with Blood in the title and some vamp books. Will pick one after I finish one of the others.

I finished my free space book and will post the review later. I'm taking a vacation day and my daughter, me and my bff are going to Plymouth for the day to be tourists in our home state. I will probably read:
