PNR? I'm leaning towards

Everything is updated. Sorry I'm so absent y..."
No worries Crystal! Enjoy yourself ;)

I loved Eshe & Armand...what a story & wow what a way to finish the mystery that was started a few books back. I cant wait to see what happens next the Argeneau Vampire Family. Not sure how you top the last 13 books in this series but definitely going to read #14 in the series soon. This has turned out to be one of my favorite series of all at least in my top 10 of series to read/finish. LS is so gifted in that you can feel her characters come to life after just a paragraph or two. I love that she creates a world so believable but at the same time she creates a story that you want to keep reading.

Thanks Sandra! :-)
I'll probably be reading

I am absolutely in love with the series, every single aspect about it! Honestly if it wasn't for all my challenges I would probably already be done with it, but so many books, so little time and all that!
Charlie is The Best, I absolutely adore her, all her quirks, and especially all her spunk. Although I think I'm on team Garrett, I just am kind of rooting for that boy, don't know why. Definitely going to finish the series, I think in November and December I am in a serious challenge and this series is top on my list to finish!

Lyons, and magic, and Tech, oh my! I have to admit I am a bit confused by the waves of tech, the waves of magic, and multiple other things. But as I have been told many many times these books just keep getting better and better. Believe me I can't wait I love this book I can only imagine how much I'm going to love the future books, super excited to really get to understand this world and really get to know Kate

Molly harper is just such a fun author to read. This is a standalone, so there was a lot of time developing the characters, but it still was told in the humorous way most of her books. Are told. A haunted house some humor and a little romance. This was a really quick and fun read, was it my favorite book by this author, probably not, but it was still a very good book.

I enjoy this series. I was leery of starting another Dakota Cassidy book as I really didn't enjoy the one I read for the Demon shelf a few weeks back, but I didn't want to start a new series and this one happened to be up next and fit the called shelf. So I bit the bullet. And I'm glad I did. It was mostly predictable and not really original (in that each book in this series seems to follow a set pattern, but one character actually semi-acknowledged that, is that what meta means???? LOL)
But overall another funny addition to the series. Likeable characters for the most part (Nina is way over the top with the cussing and carrying on). I'll probably continue with the series, but I'm not in any rush.

At times predictable and too simplistic, nevertheless it was a fun take on "Red Riding Hood" complete with werewolves and the standard issue YA love triangle. I'm generally pretty happy with any retelling of a fairy tale. This one had a bit of a mystery to it. The heroine was shockingly naive, but the author in the foreword acknowledged that she would be, as that is part of what makes Red Riding Hood who she is (her naivete). Had she not warned me ahead of time, I may have thrown the book down in annoyance.

I really liked this book. This is the first book in the Baba Yaga series.
Barbara Yaeger comes to a small rural town in upstate New York to help the authorities find the missing children that have been abducted from the area.
Baba Yaga is found in Russian Folklore so the book is full of references to the Russian Folklore tales. I enjoyed it. I love the characters, Liam & Baba. Chudo-Yudo her dragon in the guise of a pitbull. There are more characters who make their appearances as well.
I have the second book in the series waiting in the wings so I hope to find a challenge where it will fit as well.

I've been MIA. Work is CRAZY! I'll likely not be on GR that much next week. I have four career fairs in three different cities to travel to! Yikes! But I'll be sure to read!!

Review:
Nalini Singh is paranormal romance gold. If you want an author who is quintessentially a world spinner - this is your lady! I imagine her with a magic wand and she twirls it and shiny shit comes out of the end and poof you have a series that is consistently strong!
DIVERSE CHARACTERS! OMG I CAN'T SAY ENOUGH HOW MUCH I APPRECIATE THE DIVERSITY THAT NALINI SINGH HAS IN HER NOVELS. I want to scream it from the rooftops. She is really amazing.
Katya was such a great heroine. That subtle, quiet strength that you can come to expect and respect from Nalini Singh. Her heroines can be kickass both intellectually, emotionally, as well as physically. I loved seeing Katya's evolution throughout the course of the story. She gained confidence, learned to love and be loved, and threw away her fear. And my favorite scene with her was (view spoiler)
Dev was such a great hero. Alpha male, willing to protect what's his. Oh he was just the best! With a dark past and all. The total tortured hero package who (view spoiler) . Boy did he and Katya heat things up!
This story definitely pushed the series further. I love that none of the books are filler. There are major world affecting events or revelations happening. I can't appreciate that enough!
Great job Nalini Singh. Can't wait to read the next one.

I really like this series, although I would have to say the Cat&Bone Series is my favorite by JF but this one is still rather good. Cat&Bones even showed up for a brief appearance so that made it much better. Sadly it is my understanding that the next book in the series is going to be the last so I am rather disappointed that JF doesnt stick with her characters longer. In my opinion she quits way too quick.
This book is a little more gruesome than others I have read & so that was somewhat disconcerting, dont really need to know the particulars of someone having their skin removed. Ick. I plan to read the next book just so I can say I finished the series.

OH MY GOD! I loved this one.
Like straight up loved it! Couldn't wait to get back to it every time I had to put it down. This was such a good book! Where do I start?
Ivy, man Ivy!
She really made me love her and love this book. She was so smart, in the face of all the challenges. She was kickass when she had to be but you know what really made me like her? She wasn't immediately inundated with powers and abilities. They had to grow on her throughout the book. And they only came up in extreme situations. I'm really sick of heroines or heroes that all of a sudden get these powers and are blacks belts in all the martial arts, can shoot with precision, etc. That stuff takes time and while books aren't super realistic about that, this one at least tried to meet that need. And I so appreciated it!
Adrian - Adrian and I had some ups and downs. He was noble but annoying. Mostly because instead of just coming out with the secret or what he perceived as a secret earlier on in the story when he and Ivy really started to establish their relationship, he always gave her "you aren't ready" and "I'll tell you later". Once we started getting the secrets and understanding the world a little better, I really loved Adrian. And he was super hot. I loved how drawn to her he is and how it's like this magnetic force that he can't stay away from her. I also like the set up for the next book where he is adamantly trying to win her.
I can't wait to read the next book. Great job Jeaniene Frost.
Side note: I woudn't classify this as a new adult novel. This is very much a uf/pnr but just with a youngish character at the age of 20. But if you think about it, that's pretty similar to Cat in that she was like 22 when that series started.

I wanted to like this more. This series has the makings of being very strong. We have a snarky, foul mouthed heroine who is a secret softy. We have twists and turns. We have romance. But I didn't like this one as much as some others. I think it's mostly because there were a lot of random scenes. Every time I think we are on our epic journey of the book, something pops up to sideline our band of lead characters. It started getting annoying at first and I guessed about (view spoiler)
I also don't understand how all this paranormal stuff happens pretty out in the open but they say that paranormal stuff is a secret from the human population. It just wasn't making sense to me. Also Rylee is weird to me sometimes because she was raised human (I guess?) but comes off very paranormal but perhaps she is just embracing what she naturally is? I feel like there are some continuity issues in this series for me.
I love that (view spoiler) .
I'm going to continue reading the series but I need something to happen for this to be a memorable series.["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>

I finished this one today, 10.21.2015 3*s - Nick & Kate are completely hilarious. Nick is a retired jewel thief & Kate is currently one of the FBIs best agents so she loves to go after Nick when ever she gets the chance. These 2 are completely head over heels for each other but Kate tries to come across as "miss tough gal" & Nick just eggs her on. I love JE, she's so funny when writing the love scenes. Sometimes it's nice just to read a funny story without getting caught up in the tangle of the story.

At first I had a little bit of a hard time getting into this - I listened to it on audio & I didnt really care for the narration. The story was cute - Carly is a potion witch. She lives in a small town in Alabama that is pretty open to the paranormal side of things. Carly is accused of murder when she finds a body belly up on her storeroom floor. Between running interference with her parents & her crazy aunts she is pretty worn out. The book had a few moments where there was a laugh or two but it was pretty predictable. I really like the other series that Im reading by Heather Blake, the wishcraft mystery series. I plan to read the next book in the series sometime.

Enjoyable enough. Good start to the series. I'm not a super fan of friends calling each other bitches left and right. I guess that's a thing though, since I mentioned it to a co-worker and she said she and her friends do it. LOL. I'm even less of a fan of the hero calling the heroine a bitch several times, although, to be fair, she dishes it right back at him.
Still, it was funny and I'm looking forward to the next two books.
