I was kind of looking forward to putting RB points for my challenge with this book. I need you to read it for me to get the points. Chapter 14-21

(view spoiler)[ Chloe's aunt completely over reacted and she never even saw the bruises on her arm. Maybe her aunt can read minds or has strong intuition as her power. I'm just guessing.

Derek is basically the Hulk. LOL

I think that once your powers become out of control like Liz's you end up sent away to be studied on. I wounder where and what happened to her. I want to know.

(view spoiler)[ I should have figured out that Derek was a werewolf. Now it seems very obvious. Kelly Armstrong did a great job of tricking me.

I think Chloe should be with Derek instead of Simon.

What is Tori...I must know.

I didn't see the ending coming. I was shocked that her aunt was in on it.

I hope Liz isn't dead. I hope Derek lives. I can't wait for second book. <\spoiler> (hide spoiler)]

Page 1-5:(view spoiler)[The book starts off with action. I like that. I hope she and Marguerite don't get caught by the vampire hunters. :(

Being a vampire sounds really cool. Extremely honed senses is a big plus is some cases but especially when being hunted. :P (hide spoiler)]

Kat's abilities are pretty damn amazing.

It was really sweet of Kat to try to save Marguerite but she ended up 'dying' for her kindness. :(

Review:(view spoiler)[This was really good if very short. I liked Kat. I was sad that she 'died' and found out she was a vampire. I'm not sure why being a vampire is so bad. But I can understand if she is now stuck at 16 forever.

I really like Marguerite. She was really nice and very protective. I'm glad that she took Kat away from those horrible people who were experimenting on her.

I'm sad for Kat that she isn't a werecat like she wanted to be. I want to read more about her. :) (hide spoiler)]

It's hard being a supernatural in a world of non supernaturals. Most people would love not easily dying but when you are faced with concerned humans you have to go to desperate measures to avoid being detected.

Page 21-40: (view spoiler)[So this is basically the same storyline only with a few more added details and a few new characters. Still being hunted and still being chased by the Edison group.

Review:(view spoiler)[I am really enjoying reading about Kat. I'm still unclear on where she fits in the two worlds. I'm assuming since this is labelled Darkest Powers she is part of that world.

It was really tense for a while not knowing who was the guy masquerading as a vampire. I was sad that Kat still didn't know till poor Neil was kidnapped a second time but thankfully they escaped. AGAIN.

I really want to read more of these stories. I just have to figure out where she is in the storyline! lol. :D (hide spoiler)]

Chapter 1-5:(view spoiler)[I can't believe the other little boys tried to kill that nurse! O.O I'm sad that little children were killed but also kind of glad. O.o

I'm glad that Simon's dad took him away. Anyplace it better than there. -.-

I'm getting really ticked off that so many people assume that Derek has an attitude problem. While I can agree he isn't the nicest person I think people jump the gun too often. -.-

I sometimes wish that both Derek and his dad hadn't coddled Simon.
Their dad might not have disappeared then. But then again the boys would the have not met Chloe. :/

I don't like how Simon treats his girlfriends. He's a bit of a Casanova. -.-

I like that the author had Simon have diabetes. It's rare to see a character with a condition. :)

I hate that their dad disappearing is making the boy fight.

I feel a tiny bit bad for the kid that got thrown now. :S

Derek really needs to learn to stand up to Simon. He obviously is the brains of the two and has the experience to deal with their situation. Simon is the emotional one who doesn't think but feels.

O.o I don't know how I missed this before but Paul is dead?
From suicide? How did I miss that????!!!!!

I think in the end it was good of the boys to turn themselves over ot the police considering they couldn't find an adult they could trust and they still haven't been able to find their dad. They are smart boys but smart only takes you so far. :/ (hide spoiler)]

Review: (view spoiler)[I really enjoyed reading this from Derek's POV. It was really cool to see how they came to Lyle house and how they got separated from their dad.

It was also nice to see how Derek hurt that kid. I can't believe the boy had a knife and was a repeat offender and yet Derek was the one in trouble. I hate when people are biased like that! Just because he looks mean people don't like him!

I'm starting to be really concerned about their dad though. I'm on the last book now and I really hope he isn't dead. That'd be really sad. :( (hide spoiler)]

This would have been a bit tidbit of knowledge if I hadn't already read The Awakening. I feel bad for Chloe's mother and aunt. To lose a brother like that. :(

The housekeeper sounds like a bitch. I can't remember her much from the first book but I don't like her. -.-
