Erin Hodgson | 56 comments This book was probably published sometime between the late 1970s to mid 1990s. The story is about two people, a man and a woman, who find their spirits separated from their bodies when they are in a coma. Their spirits meet in the hospital, and they start hanging out together. One part I remember are that they plan to travel on an airplane, but as they get too far away from their bodies they become insubstantial and fall out of the plane. The plot is similar to Just Like Heaven, only they are both ghosts trying to get back into their bodies. The woman's name may have been Ginny. Can anyone remember the title?

Tab (tabbrown) | 5084 comments Can you remember anything about the cover? Did this book fall more into the romance genre or something else?

Debra B. (ipreferdebbieinsteadofdebra) No, I don't remember the cover or if it had illustrations. I did not usually read books about the Old West, but this one was more of a "fantasy" for young adults that took place in the Old West. It might have been written in the early 1960's or before. It had that typical school library binding. Thanks for your help.

Erin Hodgson | 56 comments I'd say it was more romance, but not a romance novel, if that makes sense. What today would be called contemporary fiction or literary fiction. I don't remember the cover art at all. The female character was kind of chubby, and she was glad her body in the coma was losing weight. The male character liked to sit at the airport and dream about traveling. any of this sounds familiar?

Erin, are you still looking for this?

Erin Hodgson | 56 comments I should have said that Diana was exactly right. It was Kindred Spirits by Alan Brennert. I bought it on Amazon and read it again. Good story.
