Nope, but thanks for looking for me :) It wasn't part of a series, I am almost positive of that.

or maybe
The Ghost in the Mirror?"
Wow, those are both exactly what I described, but neither are the one I was thinking of. Thanks though!

Wow there is a list for that? But sadly I looked at each one and its alternate covers and none of them were the one I was thinking of...

Someone else was looking for a similar book a few years ago. Here's a list of books that were mentioned, and also someone did a list on Amazon.
Magic Elizabeth by Norma Kassirer
The Mystery of the Woman in the Mirror by Teri Martini
Stonewords by Pam Conrad

- I read this in Elementary school in the 90s
- If it is not scholastic- it looked like an apple book- paperback, not very thick
- It is NOT a series book (RL Stine/ Goosebumps/ Christopher Pike)
- The cover is over a girl looking at a full length mirror and there is a person in it (perhaps in historical dress?)It was illustrated- not a photo
- The story is about a girl who moves into a house and finds this mirror that a ghost shows up in. The ghost may or may not go through the mirror to the house in historical times. (I can't remember if the main character realizes this girl is a ghost).
-The main thing I remember at the end is that the main character didn't do whatever the ghost wanted her to and it got graphic- I remember that the mirror persons face and skin melted off.
I know that isn't much to go on- I apologize- but I do know that I would know the book as soon as I saw the cover!
