SOLVED. Medical or Sci-Fi Paperback with a hand growing eyes on it [s]

I remember when I was a kid I was scared of the cover of a book my dad was reading. It was a paperback and had a picture of a hand (maybe bandaged) with eyes growing on it. It was probably sci fi and would have been from the 70's or 80's most likely.

I'm sure that's correct. My parents both read this book, and I did a few years later when I was a little older. This is - IMO - his best short story collection.

For what it's worth, the story in the book about the eyes is called "I Am The Doorway" and it freaked me out, lol.
