Background: Xantra was born to an elven priestess after a brief affair with a human warrior. Once he learned of his child, he returned to the small village and asked the priestess to marry him. She agreed and they raised their daughter together. Xantra wanted for nothing growing up; both of her parents spoiled her, considering her a gift, a miracle child.

As she grew, she began to develop magical powers. Her abilities are unlike anything either of her parents can do. She knows they love her, but she had to leave home fairly young to further her training. She has returned home only a few times since she left, the most recent time being for her father's funeral.

The birth of Scarlett marked the end of her mother’s, the formal Kitune, death. Scarlett was born in a meadow of flowers under a newly born sap. As a vampire, he possesses strength no mere mortal can match up with-essentially have the strength of ten men. He is extremely hard to deal with in physical combat.

Since he lives beyond mortal time, he can phase through a small period of time, enabling he to move faster than what the human eye can perceive. This is also why vampires are said to be able to "teleport".

As a predator, he is equipped with enhanced senses of hearing, smell and sight. He can see as well in total darkness as humans can see in broad daylight. There are even rumors that vampires possess infrared vision allowing them to track living beings.

His most useful weapon, he can plant suggestions into anyone meeting his hypnotic gaze. The strength of the suggestions depend on the difference between a vampire's will and that of the victim's. Using this power, vampires can also force victims to forget about the attack.
• Damage Resistance
Vampires are extremely resistant to physical damage. Conventional weapons like blades and guns cannot damage his physical form. Only holy items or weapons made of specific materials can inflict injuries on them.
• Regeneration
Even if a vampire is wounded, his rate of healing is very fast. Most wounds will heal with one night of rest. Only serious wounds caused by holy items would scar him forever. Some even say that a vampire can heal all its wounds by draining all the fresh blood from his victim.

Vampires can control the minds of bats, rats and wolves found in their vicinity. These animals will obey every command of their newfound master's, even if it brings death.

He's a delusional manipulative person with one object on his mind: to cause mayhem among the vampire societies. He can be socially outgoing and stimulated by the company of others. He is somewhat compassionate and cooperative, but also at times suspicious about other people's motivations. Draven is likely to have a strong preference for planned rather than spontaneous behavior. Early Life:
Eric Copper was born into a wealthy class family. He was born to a two wealthy people, John Copper and Penny Walton. The thing with his famity is the fact that his mother had an affair with another man by the name of Barbatos, aka the demon of fear, without John knowledge. Eric was raised more by an wet nurse who acted more as his mother than his birth mother. After some accident, the nurse was fired and Eric was sent to a boarding school. He lived in an urban area where he was taught to read and write starting at an early age by a strict tutor until he was old enough to be sent to boarding school. He was sent to boarding school at the age of seven, where he stayed until he was fifth teen. He was a very bright and intelligent student who was known to have pleased everyone at the school, including his teachers and classmates. At the age of twenty, he took up an apprenticeship in a lawyer office under the watchful eye of a lawyer.

It was on a night when the full moon was out when Eric was turned into the vampire he was today. He was coming from working late in his office. He was alone, and he had no paid no mind to the rumors going around about a vampire on the loose. He had taken a short cut through the forest as he was trying to make his way home. He was attacked from overhead by a hungry vampire. His life ended that night as he re-awaken as now an vampire. Eric Copper was no more. Upon his rebirth, Draven has faked his own death and he had managed to erase his entire existence during the colonial ages.

Present Life:
Draven Stanwood, now one of the creatures of the night, had embrace his new existence with ease and a determination to cause chaos among the very creatures he had became. He enjoys sucking the life out of people, particularly females and children. He has committed several ‘sins and taboos’ among the vampire society. For example, he has used his own blood to change mortals into vampires who went on a killing spee and he had killed several of the higher vampires among the Temple of Dark Ones. Background: When Olivia was born, her parents were still in high school. Two years later, they had another daughter. The girls were well cared for, and almost spoiled. Background: Summoning a higher demon is never a good idea. Some people, though, don't listen to warnings. They have to learn things for themselves. Kade's mother was one such person. She dabbled in demon summoning for a while, and while she should not have been successful at all, she did manage to succeed once. However, instead of the imp she thought she was summoning, she got an incubus. The summoning circle she'd drawn was not strong enough to hold him. He escaped the circle and imprisoned her for several days, during which time he used her in every way that struck his fancy, raping her repeatedly.

Eleven months later (the gestation period for elves and drow), Kade was born. His mother had been a virgin before the summoning and had not been with anyone since that time. So she knew her son was a half-demon. Despite being told repeatedly to kill him, she kept him, and kept him hidden until he could walk. By that time, he could use all of the normal drow racial abilites: faerie fire, cloud of darkness, and levitation. (The ability to levitate fades with time spent on the surface.) He could also hear everyone's thoughts, but since he couldn't talk yet, no one knew he could. He didn't start talking until he was three, which, while late for a drow, was not uncommon among males. Most male drow are seen as useless in their society, so he just kept his mouth shut until he heard people wandering if he was stupid. So he started talking in full sentences to prove them wrong.

For years, he could hear everyone's thoughts. He felt like he was going insane. It wasn't until a strange man came to visit and taught him to block the thoughts of others that he learned to do so. The man also taught him some basic fire magics and would have taught him dark magic if his mother hadn't forbidden it and chased him out of her house. Once he was gone, she told Kane the man was not just a random stranger; he was his father. She had never expected him to return and hadn't recognized him at first, as he'd taken on human form to visit them.

Eleven months later, Kade became a big brother. His little sister is now six years old and has never met her father. He has not seen his father since he left just over seven years ago. Their mother taught him all she knew about fire magic, but it wasn't much as she had no formal training of her own, being nothing more than a servant. Neither she nor the family she serves knew anything of his other abilities.

Background:Jason was raised in a middle class wolf pack family. When he came of age he left and joined Bryn's pack taking the position of Alpha Male. Background: Jacob married his high school sweat heart - his soul mate - when she got pregnant. They had their first child before either of them graduated; Jacob was a senior and his wife was a junior. They raised Olivia together, and they had a second child - Lucy - just two years later. When Dante was a child, she had a perfect family.Her family was complete and humble, so there were no troubles as she grew up with parents and her siblings.

When High School came, she always rode a motorcycle from school. So, when it was night out, Dante got into a motorcycle accident. She had her family worried after it, she managed to survive but she suffered injuries that caused her to be crippled.

Now bound to her wheelchair, her parents constantly argued due to her disability, about her not being able to use her legs. She was fine, but her parents were not.

Personality: he is basically silly, unpredictable and sarcastic. he is however loyal to those he cares about, brave to the point of insanity, and very kind sometimes. he is arrogant sometimes but can be humble. he has a bad habit of annoying those of authority.

Background: born to two regular humans with trace amounts of succubus and wizard blood in them, he ended up by complete accident getting them when a Fallen angel tried to kill him when he was twelve. he desperatly wanted to defend his family and when he felt a surge of power in him he unleashed the full force on the Fallen and nearly killed it, but it ran and he started to develop his talents as quietly (if you call blowing up buildings and leaving craters 50 meters wide quiet) as he could. when he was fifteen he met Adrian Paradox and convinced the strange hybrid to have some fun. their little fun ended up with them remaking a ancient demon, nearly destroying his town and perhaps the known world, and with him missing pizza night (which he deemed the most horrid event ever). so he traveled with Adrian for a while, had some fun and some scares, until Adrian convinced him to join the College with him. he said to his friend "if this turns out to be another demon thing again i swear i'll turn you into belts, boots, and whatever else i can."

Weaknesses: he can't harm children (newborns and up to 12 years old) or women. when working he can zone out and not realize it. tends to forget those younger than him haven't seen things he has and gets annoyed when they make obvious mistakes.

Background:he was born long ago to two poor parents of that time with a rare ability, his hands were very strong. when he was nine he swore a blood promise that he would be better someday. so when he turned fifteen he wandered the land, slaying beasts on that time that even the strongest (of now) feared to take head on. when he was twenty years old he fought aginast the strongest wild monster and killed it with his bare hands. the Powers (my name for the strongest of beings) gave him great powers and several gifts. first off they gave him magic, all kinds, but took away his own rare ability. they also made him nearly immortal, immune to time, disease, and even aging. after that he simply wandered wherever he wished, learned from others, and passed on what he knew. (at present) he learned of the College and decided to try being more direct with his teachings.

Light/Holy Magic - Sam has a high level of skill in light magics. He can cast almost every known spell and has even created one of his own.
Healing Magic - He is skilled in healing magics, and often uses them to heal injured people, both friend and foe. He will not knowingly heal a demon blood, however.
Regeneration - He can heal almost any injury to his body, including those from dark magic or unholy objects, making him very hard to kill. (Decapitation would work.)
Super Strength/Speed - With his angel and werewolf blood, he has both strength and speed that far surpass that of any human.
Enhanced Senses - All five of his senses are enhanced beyond the human norm. His sense of smell is the strongest of the five, followed closely by hearing and sight.
Transformation - Sam can take many different forms. He normally stays in his human form, but can take on the form of an angel, a wolf, or a hybrid mixture of all three.

Weaknesses:
Dark Magic - As an angel blood, Sam is weak to dark magics. Injuries from this take longer to heal.

Personality: Sam pretty much defines the strong, silent type. But when he feels strongly about something or someone, well, everyone knows it.

Background:
Pre-birth to Age 12
What happens when a male angel is sent to earth to protect a female werewolf who goes into heat while holed up in a remote mountain cabin with only the angel for company? In this case, Samuel Marcus Blackthorn. His mother and father had been fighting their mutual attraction for months before they were stranded together in a snowstorm. When his mother went into heat unexpectedly after simply kissing his father for the first time, they could no longer fight their attraction. Or deny their love.

Sam's father gave up his wings in order to help his mate raise their son. They were not welcome pack in her pack's territory, as wolves are not supposed to mate with any other species (neither are angels), so they left and found a place of their own. It broke his mother's heart to be a lone wolf, rejected by her friends and family. But she held on for the sake of her baby boy. They raised Sam together until he turned 12. At which point the Hunters Sam's father had been sent to earth to protect his mother from found them.

Without his wings, and therefore, his powers, Sam's father was unable to protect his mother. Both of Sam's parents died that day. Sam had been told to run as soon as the group was sighted heading towards the house. He did as his parents told him to do and ran - all the way back to his mother's former pack. He'd been to visit his grandparents once and remembered how safe he'd felt there, so that was where he headed. A couple of days later, when neither parent came to claim him, his grandparents got a group of wolves together to go check on their daughter.

They found their former house burnt to the ground. The house, barn, and all outbuildings were no more than ashes. But only one body was found in the house - that of his father. His grandmother broke down and confessed to having an affair on the night before their arranged marriage took place; his mother had been half spirit wolf, making her hide very valuable indeed. That was why she had been killed, and why she had needed the protection of a guardian angel thirteen years previous.

At twelve years old, Sam had already shown aptitude for healing magics. He'd healed many small creatures of their wounds and sent them on their way home. Since he'd been able to heal others for years, he tried to heal his father. Of course, it didn't work. His grandfather - in spirit if not biologically - had to knock him out to stop him from hurting himself as he tried stronger and stronger spells on his father. He knew the boy would spend all his life energy on a spell if it would bring his father back. He sensed that would be what it would take to do so. He didn't know much about magic, but he knew to trust his intuition, therefore, he had to stop the boy.

Sam was angry when he woke up several hours later back in his room in his grandparents' house with a headache. He tried to attack his grandfather for knocking him out, once he found out that was what had happened. The older man easily restrained him and explained why he had done it: his father would never trade his son's life for his own. How did he know, Sam asked. Simple, he replied, I am a father. Sam couldn't argue with that.

Through Age 20
His grandparents raised him as part of their pack until he turned 16, at which point he was considered an adult. He had to choose whether to stay with the pack or seek out a life of his own. He left, hoping to track down those men who had been responsible for the death of his parents. He spent years seeking out various groups of wolf Hunters, taking most groups he found apart one by one, member by member. However, the group he sought continued to allude him.

When he was 20, his father - an angel once more - came to him in a dream. He tried to convince him to give up on his plan of revenge; that group had seen the error of their ways and were no longer Hunters. Of course, most of them were no longer living either. His mother's former pack's Alpha had seen to that eight years previous; he'd been in love with Sam's mother once upon a time and still cared for her even though they had both taken another to mate. He didn't tell Sam that, however, just that they were no longer Hunters.

Sam asked his father what he should do, if not seek revenge for their deaths. Seek love, his father told him. Somewhere out there in the big, wide world, he had a soul mate. She would be waiting and looking for him, as well. It might take time, but they would find each other.

Part Two

Background:
Searching for a Soul Mate
After just six months of looking, Sam was convinced he'd found his soul mate. Had he really? Nope, just a succubus preying on and seducing an innocent boy. He finally figured out she wasn't really his soul mate when he caught her having sex with another woman, in his bed. He knew then what she really was. In his anger, he tried to hurt her with a spell. One he'd never used before, but had read about. He shot her with a holy bolt, killing her and her lover instantly. He hadn't meant to kill her, just scare her.

Instead, he'd scared himself. He hadn't expected that spell to work so well in his hands. It was supposed to be angel magic, and he was only half. That night, he had another visit from an angel. Two angels, actually: his father and Michael, commander of the warrior angels. He learned from Michael that it didn't matter if he was only half angel, it was the strength of his convictions, of his belief in God, that made his spell so powerful. He also explained that while he should lose his powers for giving in to lust, he would not lose them because he had believed himself in love with the woman. Sex is a natural expression of love. But it can also be an expression of lust; he must be careful not to give in to lust else he would lose his powers of light magic.

Sam said he understood. He did, for the most part, but was a bit confused as to the difference between love and lust. He vowed to pay close attention to his body's reaction to women over the next several weeks. It took less than two days for him to figure out just what the difference was. He lusted after many women, but loved none of them. Someday he would find the one he was meant to love, just as his parents had found each other. That was why his father was an angel again; he'd given up his wings for his soul mate. Doing so for any other reason would have resulted in his being sent to hell upon the death of his human body.

A decade later, after many missteps, Sam found his soul mate - a human woman. They had six happy months together, and were planning to be married, when her previous lover found them. He was insanely jealous and claimed she was HIS soul mate. He challenged Sam to a fight to the death; Sam had no choice but to accept, he knew the other man would simply kill him if he did not.

During the fight, the other man revealed his true form: a demon. He nearly killed Sam before Sam finally unleashed a bolt of pure holy energy and struck the man demon dead. As he fell, he dug a claw into the woman with the last of his strength. She was nearly dead by the time Sam reached her side. He tried to heal her, but the demon's claw had stuck fast in her chest. It slowly poisoned her, counteracting Sam's desperate attempts to heal her. In minutes, she lay dead.

Sam swore that day to destroy every demon he ever met's chance at happiness. He would destroy the demon if he could; his soul mate if not. His father would not talk him out of this revenge, he swore.

His father did eventually talk him out of it, but it took several months' worth of nightly visits. He had to reassure his son that he had not lost his one chance at true happiness. His soul mate would be reborn. She was not lost to him forever. It would take time, but she would be reborn. Before his father could convince him of this, however, he had killed half a dozen demons and demon bloods.

Sam did eventually rescind his vow, but only to replace it with another: he would never willingly help a demon blood, including not even healing one.

He went back to his search for a soul mate. It would be another eighty years before he found her again. By that time, he was working as a security guard for an elven king. He accompanied the king to a funeral for the husband of one of his nieces. It was there he met Xantra, the daughter of the man who'd died - a human - and the elven priestess, niece of the king.

He paid little attention to the girl, assuming her to be far too young to be his soul mate: she looked about 15, but was actually in her early twenties. Half elves age slower than humans. Or werewolves for that matter.

It would be another seven years, after he retired from his work with the elven king, until he found her again. They met for the second time in a pub in a human city. Xantra was working as a barmaid to earn the money needed to pay her magical tutor. She'd fought off multiple unwanted advances over her time working there, but that night there was one man who would not be dissuaded. Not until Sam stepped in and discouraged him. He then stuck by her and protected her; he still believed her too young to be of interest to him.

Until she kissed him one night after he walked her home. Then he knew; she was his soul mate. But they were so different, so very different. How could they be destined to be together? Something was seriously wrong. He hoped his father would visit his dreams again and advise him. He could not be tied to a mortal woman, not again. She would die too easily.

He started a relationship with her, despite his misgivings; she proved to be too persistent for him to do otherwise. They were together for years until she pushed for more from him, for a commitment. Then he broke it off, though it killed him to do so. He left her and has wandered the world since.

He claims to be seeking his true soul mate, though he knows Xantra is the one he seeks.

The Past One Hundred Ninety-Five Years
Since leaving his soul mate behind, Sam has sought to further his knowledge of magic and the world. He has multiple college degrees from universities on three continents. He has learned various magics from the leading experts in their fields. He can do small spells in almost every area of magic, but only excels in two: healing and light.

In recent years, he has decided to share his knowledge with those of the younger generation. He has taken up teaching, mostly private tutoring. He has been quietly seeking Xantra for the past five years. He finally found out - from her mother - that she had a position teaching here, at the College of Magic.

He applied for the open position as professor of light magic. He wasn't sure his application would be accepted as it had been sent in several days past the deadline. However, he was the only applicant...

Ilivarra barely glanced over his application before accepting it. He might not remember it, but they met once before, more than two hundred years previously, back when he still worked for the elven king.
