This book will be selected from an open nomination process. Any book may be nominated as long as it meets the group's BOTM nomination criteria*.

The first 10 books that have second and third nominations will be eligible for being voted on by the membership via a poll.

The book with the highest amount of votes will be one of our Books of the Months.

*BOTM Nomination Criteria:

All books nominated must be listed in our group under our ARR Program or have been listed in the past under Completed ARR Books.

Please do NOT nominate a book that is part of a series unless it is the first book (at the moderator's discretion)

Nominated books should not have recently been a BOM.
You should check the Book of the Month group bookshelf to make sure the book you nominate has not already been a group read.

Authors if your book wins the BOTM you may contact one of the mod's if you’re interested in giving the members it for free with the condition they will write a review.

Anyone can nominate a book, but must be different member to second or third said book.

Any other questions leave us a message below.

Alana ~ The Book Pimp (loonyalana) | 501 comments Silencing Joy by Amy Rachiele by Amy Rachiele

Genre: Romance, Action/Adventure
Page Count: 127

Book Description:
I scream. I couldn’t help it. I jump up and whack my head on the bottom of a bleacher. My hand flies immediately to the lump forming. I start running while bent in half. I try to get out.
I don’t.
Suddenly, my hair is yanked back. I shriek as my hands automatically go to the back of my head. My heart races in terror. I bend backwards from the yank and then fall to my knees.
~Joy, Silencing Joy

Joy is the type of person that goes about her business, stays out of people’s way, and keeps to herself. Everything changes one night at a football game.
Have you ever been in the wrong place at the wrong time?
Follow Joy as she discovers what wrong place and wrong time actually mean.

Kara shifted in her seat and her foot slipped. Something pulled on it.
A hand came around her mouth and she was falling. Kara found herself flat on the ground in the dirt and trash under the bleachers.
A cloth was slipped over her mouth and tied behind her head. Someone flipped her over like a hog, tying and dressing it for a roast over a spit. Kara’s hands were yanked and bound behind her back with thick rope.
~Kara, Silencing Joy

Willa Jemhart | 38 comments Well, it looks like a winner is already on the way, but I'll nominate a different one anyway.

Ridley House by Willa Jemhart Ridley House
For as long as she can remember, nineteen-year-old Kay has been unable to stay in one place for long. With no recollection of who she is or where she came from, plagued by nightmares she doesn’t remember upon waking, and the torturous feeling that her one true love was lost to her, she is unsure whether she is searching for or fleeing from something.

When she accepts a summer job at the Ridley House Inn, it feels like a nice change of pace. The country setting and old-fashioned feel are comfortable, homey, and even familiar. Shortly after her arrival, she finds a wall filled with Ridley family portraits, where one picture in particular grabs her attention - a late 1930s photograph of a young woman with a face identical to her own.

Between the warnings of a scary old man telling her she should not have returned, and the magnetic pull towards a familiar and handsome young man, Kay is determined to find some answers. Is Ridley House the place she has been searching for, is it the place she has been running from, or has all of the familiarity simply been contrived by her desperation to finally belong somewhere?

Moshe Sipper | 3 comments The Peaceful Affair by Moshe Sipper The Peaceful Affair

Renowned detective Noro Myx is called in by the President of the United States to search for the missing War Treaties, whose disappearance could wreak worldwide havoc. Along with his trusted assistants — Miss Lipps, the small giant, and the tall dwarf — Myx eagerly delves into the affair, to quickly discover the treaties are but the tip of the iceberg. The investigation twists and turns, leading the gallant operatives to open Pandora’s Box – despite her vociferous protestations – and leap into the depths of a far more nefarious scheme.

As the battles rage and the plots thicken Myx plunges forward intrepidly in a gallant effort to save the country, the world, and the day (Tuesday, to be precise) from the most horrific nightmare of all: nuclear peace.

Jeffrey Kern (jkern) | 11 comments I have a proposal that is a bit out of the box but it can be a really fun way to enjoy a book. First of all you must read the book. Its a short easy read at 70 pages with over 100 full color illustrations. Next go out and try the techniques in the book. This should not take more than four hours total. THEN have a discussion on not only how you liked or disliked the book but also discuss its effectiveness. The book is called; Golf Made Easy! A Backward Approach to Learning Golf..... Or Is It?
