How do we end up reading these oddly appropriate books? I hope the storm that we're forcast today doesn't turn into snow!

Haha, i know!
We're physics. ;)
I like snow for about a day, because it's pretty.
After that, i really can't stand it.

Snow is great when you don't have to leave the house. When you do need to leave the house it's just a pain.

Ooh, hot chocolate.
I'd rush out those doors so fast if i was them.

I don't get why he said that either. It does make it exciting. :)
By the end, he obviously gets out, because the pages with the snow on are grey at the top, and the last fourth of the book are white. Ha ha.
I wasn't sure if that was because they got out, or because the snow was just rising higher and higher, until it was too high for them to see the top? I wondered why the grey bit kept getting smaller and smaller on the page, and thought it might be that we were actually supposed to see the non-grey part as the height of the snow.

It did start by the text, then the next chapter when they said it was getting bad, was above it.
When he said (view spoiler) it kind of makes me think that maybe he does survive, though.

Yes! It's quite disturbing!

It's better than This is not a test. :)

Definitely!

What about the fact [spoilers removed]"
It was ridiculous.

It makes me laugh the way they keep thinking that they're going to get out in a day, when it stops.
The snow isn't going to melt that quick, when you have that much!
That's what I was thinking. It hung around here for ages and ages last year, and we didn't have it 11 feet deep!
Scotty and his friends Pete and Jason are among the last seven kids at their high school waiting to get picked up that day, and they soon realize that no one is coming for them. Still, it doesn't seem so bad to spend the night at school, especially when distractingly hot Krista and Julie are sleeping just down the hall. But then the power goes out, then the heat. The pipes freeze, and the roof shudders. As the days add up, the snow piles higher, and the empty halls grow colder and darker, the mounting pressure forces a devastating decision. . .
Sarah and i will be reading this on the 27th. Everyone welcome to join. :)
