Opinions? "
Looks good to me, as long as it will be easy for YOU to get the info you need. You're the one who has to post the official updates, which is going to keep you busy enough, so I think we should do whatever we can to help you out :)

So sorry to read that Jane, but I know what you mean about sad but not in a bad way.
"When we report read pages, do they all count towards the Banshee or only books we finish during the challenge? I will be listening to an audio but I am not sure I will finish it before the 19th"
Any pages we read/listen to during the RaT count, unless they've changed that part of it. If you listen to 50% of the book during the RaT, you'll be able to count 50% of the pages.

I know that ANY team member can post completed categories, but I would have the same problem. Heck, I'd have even *more trouble, since we can't even sneak online during work hours! Unless they change the time we'll be allowed to submit our completed categories, and if I've figured out the time zone issues, it would be 9am for those in the central time zone (Sallie, Nancy and Evana), 7am for Karla (Pacific time), 4pm for Jane in Denmark and midnight for our Aussies. I don't see those times being convenient for ANY of us :( So yes, doing it just for fun sounds like the best option. It's not going to cost us any points to try, and you never know what might happen!

and of course the tracking posts are fine. I asked for them up above somewhere. stupid kindle app doesn't show message numbers hehehe

Great minds think alike, Barb. I was going to ask Steven if I could claim a post for my updates, but I saw you already had so I went ahead an claimed one.

And Karla's second fits into the supernatural creatures one.
I'll work on posting the tasks today or tomorrow then. It'..."
you're welcome, Steven. Sorry it was so late.
Does the books have to be just about Halloween if your doing the read-like-a-banshee or can it just be any book?

Task One: Masters of Horror (I'm reading Carrie now)
Task Two: Halloween Covers (Lisa and Karla are both reading Halloween Cover books)
Task Three: Special Powers (Lisa and I are both reading Special Powers books)
Task Four: Supernatural Creatures (Lisa and I are both reading Supernatural Creatures books, and one of Karla's can fit here too)
Task Five: Trick or Treat SPELLOUT "GHOST" (Barb is working on this one)
Based off of Sonia's responses, since we're having specific turn in times for each task, we can count books started before the 4th... so get cracking! :D

Nancy, the Event One Reading like a Banshee is STRICTLY page numbers... anything will count :)
You going to join us for the two weeks challenge? :D
i'm thinking of it but i wanted to make sure that any book will count for the challenge.

Okie dokie! Just let me know once you've decided! :)

First, I've got the third one of Special Powers with the main characters in Scarlet if that's helpful.
I can also cover Supernatural Creatures with Death in The Book Thief.

Also, the challenge (event two) is changing to a completion challenge and not a "who posts first" one. Details to come tomorrow.

@ Steven, I have books that fits both task 3 and 4 just let me know what you want me to read.
I am actually going to sneak into a library today and pretend to be my sister (we are identical twins) and borrow The Last Olympian as her library has it and mine doesn't - so that would definitely be special powers.

Since the changes make it more beneficial to have all event one people do event two (since its not about time anymore and just completion), I had planned on adding everyone from event one to event two also.
You have to remember that after 5pm my time, I'm rarely on a computer to update posts (only on my phone app, which doesn't allow editing posts).
I will change it today! :)

And yay for Percy Jackson!!!

I got hold of The Las Olympian, the did have the first in the next series as well but unfortunately it was out. It is quite fun though because the Danish edition is in childrens section but the English is in adult section.

When I switch over to M. Mango later, I'll make sure your name is on the "planned participants post" in the other thread. :)

I'm currently reading a book that i probably wont be done with for a few days. Can I add that to the challenge or do you have to start a book on the day of the challenge?
Books mentioned in this topic
Harvest Moon (other topics)Chasing Magic (other topics)
Partners in Crime (other topics)
The Whispering House (other topics)
The Whole Enchilada (other topics)
I'm going to join in in challenge #1 only I think, cause I can add to page numbers but I don't know that I'll be helpful with the other challenge unless it's number 6 or 7 (and thus to be reported towards the end of the challenge :D)
If that actually is something the team needs, I'm reading Discovery of Witches and Neil Gaiman's The Ocean at the End of the Lane at that part of the month. If they don't fit towards the end of challenge #2 that's fine as well. I'll surely be cheering loudly from the side lines.
Also Lisa, that's so exciting having a new baby in the family! Hope you get to spend loads of time with them :D
