As much as I say this manga is my favourite...I think the Setsu/Cain arc is REALLY WEIRD. I'm thinking about rereading it from the start just to remind myself why I love it (and may be make that story arc make more sense) because I think some of my detachment may come because it is updated so slowly!

I agree, they do update slow. I'm only on the sixth book, but so far I love the series and also like how it's so funny.

It's untestable that they update so slowly. I'm pretty sure that new chapters of manga come up only once every month in one magazine in Japan. It can't get any better than this. I've started to read some fan fiction of Skip Beat and it was pretty interesting how people managed the story on their own. So if you have had not enough of SB on its own, you can always look for fan fiction. :)

This is a really great manga. I enjoyed every volume of it and when I get the time I plan on rereading it. The anime was great too. I wish they would do another season of it though.

I agree the the Setsu/Cain arc is a little different, but I am interested to see where it is going. I cannot wait for Volume 32! I do not think it comes out until December.

Well, Jamie pretty much all of manga/anime has at least one fan fiction, you should try and find some of your favourite series, though most of them are pretty bad in my opinion.
I don't find Cain and Setsu as weird as you do. I think they provide an interesting contrast and they are funny. :)
Anyway, it's one of my favourite series.

I guess I have not gotten into any kind of fanfiction. I have way to many actual books that I want to read that I just have not had the time to explore it very much. I will check it out. Thanks for the website.

I think Skip Beat is a very unique anime, I have been searching and searching for a similar anime, but I can't find one. I love the whole revenge on sho turned love for acting. Its amazing, this manga/anime has amazing character development and i think thats what makes it so amazing. Whops,I lied there is one anime close to skip beat, glass mask.

P.S :Kyouko x Ren! XD Also love Sho's jealosy! Ha! xD

Also can anyone tell me what chapter and volume the arc where kyouko first stars in a tv drama, I'm still pretty far from being up to date, but it's killing, I wanna know if it's almost over or not!!!

I totally ship Kyoko/Ren for ALL OF TIME haha (And I move from pitying Sho, evilly laughing at what nonsense he's come up with next, or wanting to punch him)

I can't help you with the chapter and volume, but if you're asking if the arc is over it is, and if you're asking about the whole story, I think it is getting close!

Aww, I love Koi Dano ai Dano. It's one of better manga with very unusual characters and plot. I think that the main character in there is even more interesting than Kyoko, as she is able to easily manipulate people and predict their skills... I just can never wait what she will do next! :D And the similar thing about them is that they both are unaware of the feeling of love...^^
Also you may like Tokyo Crazy Paradise by the same author as Skip Beat :> It also has a strong female lead, which I enjoyed.

I'm a lunatic when it comes to Skip Beat! Everyone is right it updates too slow but I have a method to my madness. Every year I begin to read it from the beginning. If you have amazing self control you don't read the new chapters until you've completed until where you left of at the Beijing of the year. I just barely made it back to the last 10 chapters before the new year and I binge read them during Christmas break. This is really cool because when you get to the "new chapters" your virtually refreshed from the entire story. Now there are so many chapters and volumes you can read the. At your leisure through the year and experience all those favorite moments you might have forgotten. ---> o.O

I really have fallen for this manga series. I didn't have any expectations going into this series but overall I find it a great delight. The characters are well fleshed out and quite engaging. I love that there is never a dull moment and that despite that very serious and mature topics are being presented it doesn't (at least not in my case) depress or discourage the reader. I wish I read this series when I was much younger but I'm just happy to get the opportunity to read it now. I think I am on vol. 25 now?

I LOVE Skip Beat! Yes, the Setsu/Cain arc is a little weird but all in all, the series is great. It gets a little frustrating that it just keeps going, since you want to see a couple of certain characters to be together already! But thats all part of the fun and suspense. Its a great series- I laugh every time I read it!

Love love loooove this series!!! I love how long it is and I love how the romance is progressing. I've read too many series where the characters fall in love way too quickly or easily T.T This goes slow enough for me to think it's super realistic although I agree that I need to see them together soon <3

Every time I read/hear/see "Skip Beat!" I cry as they only made 1 season of the anime. TT_TT
