Rise smiled and cuddled close to him, not caring that school had started.

"Though I must admit, I have a secret obsession for donuts. You have to be careful with them around me," he winked, before driving them to Dunkin' Donuts.

Rise nodded seriously, biting back a smile. "Id like glazed." she signed to him.

He nodded his head and, after they went in, ordered her two glazed ones. He wanted to spoil her.

Rise waited and glanced at him when he ordered two for her. She loved him.

He brought them over, having bought only one for himself. "So, are these any good? I might steal one from you, you know," he teased.

Rise shrugged. "He wants to know where I am. I guess the school told him I never came to school." she answered.

Come home or I'm calling police.
I'm fine. With Jason. Don't worry. she texted back.

"Oh damn, your brother is here," he murmured as he saw Trevor pulling up at the place they were sitting at. "Did you text him?"

Rise bit her lip. She wasn't ready to go home. Rise looked at Jason then sighed. She kissed his cheek and got up.

Trevor started the car, gripping the steering wheel. "I don't want you to see him any more." he said.

"Because you just ditched school! You've never done that before, Rise!" he exclaimed, making a sharp turn.

Trevor clenched the wheel and pulled into the driveway as Rise's phone rang. Rise handed it to him and he answered. "Hello. Yes." Trevor closed his eyes. "Yeah. No, she's mute. Yeah, i'll tell her."

Jason had a punctured lung, a broken leg and severe wounds to his body. He had lost a lot of blood, so as soon as his mom came in, she agreed to giving him hers. They had the same blood type. Soon after, his mom and dad just sat in the room, trying not to cry as their son lay there in the bed, in a coma.
