how to merge them both "Keeping" them both without removing any ?

We do not merge, it is policy to maintain two profiles.

Where books have been translated then the roman name is placed in primary author position, with other language names in the secondary position where appropriate to edition.

This allows the books to be combined correctly. If the books are never translated out of orginal language i.e. Russian then there is no requirement to have a roman profile
