@Hina, yes, I can do the tracking for Event #1 if you do Event #2.Also, your goal really doesn't matter ( see response to Jingles). However, Event #1 will actually have a 1st place, 2nd place....5th place with different book point awarded. Last time, I think we read the most pages so basically we should all eat as many pages as possible :-)

Ahh..you know what I have been thinking...whoever finishes their goals first...but its whoever has a higher ratio during the read-a-thon. That makes better sense.

Posting For Event 2: The teams can only starting posting their completed tasks on October 5th, Midnight BST - Eight Hours after the read-a-thon start.
So that's 6 PM my time tonight, I should be done by my book by then. So I should have it posted by 6:30 or 7 PM when I get home. How are you doing with your book Barbara?

How's your reading/listening coming along? Also, for the final, I am not sure if we are suppose to solve something or read something. But I guess it will make more sense as we get more clues.
Oh, I thought we still hated to stick with the dates......I will finish Hit by the Farm today, but I still have about 5 hrs on Masques, so earliest is tomorrow.
According to this, the final task does NOT include any reading.◈ Clues and Final Task
To keep things even - and to avoid the Pirate's Wrath - we're going to use the following awarding system:
For each task marked as complete, the team will be awarded 1 BAP.
Final task has no reading included, and will by posted on the 14th or as soon as ALL teams complete all tasks from 1 to 5.
Each team has to complete all 5 tasks to a chance of participating on final task.
Final task is worth 5 BAP's.
JoLene, we can post completion when we are done. The clues are going to come out on the assigned dates regardless of how many teams are done or not. Ange, if you can post a new message when you are done, that would be great.
@Barbara..... Another one :-). So are you a trained speed reader? I know when I try to read super fast, I miss content, but you even take the time to write reviews. Also curious....I tried to read the book Queens Bastard by CE Murphy a while back and it's one of the few books that I did not finish. Are her other series good?? Have you read the one that I didn't like?

" No speed reading though I do sometimes skip the sections that over-detail room contents as I just don't care what is on the wall or what kind of carpets/beds/bookcases, etc are in a room.
In this case, I read 1/2 of Raven Calls on Saturday and finished it on Sunday. When I read using my Nook, I only have about 3-1/2-4 hours of battery so I end up putting that down and grabbing a dead tree book while it recharges.

I added that book to my TBR since I like CE Murphy but the reviews are very bad and it doesn't really sound like something I would like. I guess we'll see if I ever get around to reading it. Unfortunately, it sounds a lot like Kushiel's Dart which I hated.
I'm really liking the Walker Paper series though this last book wasn't as good as the others in the series.

We are done with all 5 tasks now! Saw the updated spreadsheet that Mods have and we have 10 BAP's for event 2. The 3rd clue will be posted sometime today.
I think Sonia was ill and unable to post so the clue fell behind the dates. Hopefully they will be up soon. or maybe we will get all the clues at once on the 14th. lol

Final Task
Using the titles (or covers) of the books read in the completed tasks write your own story. (Halloween themed or not - your choice)
Rules:
1) Minimum 6 books
2) You can use any number of tasks you want, but, you have to use ALL titles/covers in that task.
3) You must post the tasks chosen and your story on the Event #2: Clues & Final Task thread.
