Library Checkouts & Holds
I get just about everything from the library (mainly because I work at one) I got Anna Dressed , City of Fallen Angels, Paper Towns, and Looking for Alaska checked out right now.
Hey, since the Novellas in the Elemental Series are only available on Kindle, I can't get them from my Library...Does anyone on here have them that would be willing to lend them to me via kindle? I'm just trying to avoid spending the money if I don't have to and thought I'd ask here first! THANKS!
:-)
I think they're at the back of the books. I have 2.5 at the back of book 3, and when I read one, .5 was at the end of that.

But thanks anyway!!! :-)

My library has 2 of them
you should be able to ask the library to get them....
(I wish I could loan it out after I get it from the library but I can't :( they restrict it)
but when I get ebooks from my library, I almost always download them from Amazon
I used to buy all my books but now that I am a mom I am having to borrow books from the library. It's ok though because I ran out of room for my books!
I used to buy the majority of my books as well! But now my library is also my main source of books now. Do you have any checked out at the moment? I would love to see them!
So jealous of the last two! I am on a huge waiting list for Confessions but should be getting the other one soon! I got
and
yesterday.
Confession: I don't use my library, but I'd like to start. What can anyone recommend to me? I see a lot of you have "books in your name" or are on a wait list, etc. Can you reserve online or what is the best way to reserve books that are coming out? If, for example, a book is due out in Jan. 2014, when would you need to put your name on the list? Is it any different to check out ebooks than paperback? Suggestions?
I would help, but I have no clue. My library is different then yours (and it differs per library (at least here it does)). For example we don't have that reserve a book thing until the book is actually in the library (being ordered or is actually there). The best thing I can recommend is this: You should check your library and ask these things. I am sure they are willing to help. Or maybe they have a website where you can lookup stuff.
Anyway, really happy my boyfriend will once again go to the library this evening, (the only day they are open until 8pm) since I am still not all to healthy and there are books that have come out and are on-hold for me and need to be picked up before it is too late.
Vicki. Usually the new releases in my library are listed on the website 2 weeks early. You just press hold or whatever thing your library does. They out you on a waiting list! Also, regular books that are not new releases, you can out them on hold too. I'm not sure if that is any help but I hope you start using your library soon because they are amazing and so helpful!

Whatever book i need I put on hold, if it's available, they get it off the shelf for me and send me a notice when I can come get it. Then I don't have to go hunt it down. If it's not available then I just get it when it gets returned. I'd go broke without my library! <3

Promises not to buy until ??? never work. LOL What was that word...self-control? Not in my dictionary! LOL
Thanks everyone! I'm going to start and see how my own library works.
I found out my library lets us check out 25 items for 3 weeks and I think it said you can recheck them out 4 times as long as there are no holds on them.
